Product & Platform Management

The Product & Platform Management (PPM) team’s mission is to successfully shape and deliver on GIC’s new product priorities to enable investment teams to tackle new alpha opportunities. As part of the PPM team, you will be working on strategic, complex, and high value product initiatives. This requires an ability to navigate the firm and bring people together, a delivery-focused mindset, and the ability to become an instant subject matter expert on any new product.

What impact can you make in this role?

We are looking for an Associate / Assistant Vice President to join the Product & Platform Management team.The PPM team is part of the COO’s Office and will work closely with key stakeholders such as Trading, Operations, Risk, Data, Legal & Compliance, Tax and Technology to roll out new product initiatives in a timely and effective manner. You can look forward to a multi-faceted role that will require a wide skillset including business knowledge, technical know-how, project execution ability, and strategic and consultative thinking.

What will you do as an Associate/AVP, Product & Platform Management?

  • Be responsible for the management of new products and instruments across multiple asset classes including fixed income and currencies, equities, and derivatives.
  • Partner closely with investment departments and portfolio managers on their new product requests, ensuring product features and business requirements are clearly spelt out and aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage and coordinate the requirements of specialist stakeholders from Trading, Operations, Risk, Data, Legal and Compliance, Tax and Technology.
  • Engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Work across business units to resolve bottlenecks and manage risks.
  • Drive consensus and communicate plans and results to management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a OneGIC perspective and deliver results which are beneficial for both individual businesses and the whole of GIC.
  • Develop content knowledge and be able to dive deep into any topic that comes your way.
  • Identify areas for improvement in business processes.
  • Simplify complex topics and create innovative solutions.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 to 8years of relevant working experience, either in new products/instruments, project management, and/or business management for trading, fixed income, or derivatives businesses.
  • Familiarity with derivatives operations, processing, accounting, and risk control.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal) to deliver desired results.
  • Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving track record and ability to identify complex risks early to develop actionable mitigation plans.
  • Ambitious and proactive: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel VBA macros)
  • Experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Experience in automation of processes and ability to program (e.g., using Python) a plus.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Support the function and operations of SEA eCommerce Digital Partners business. The individual will have an opportunity to develop skillsets related to managing eMarketplace shop-in-shops (SIS) on Lazada, Shopee, Tiktok Shop, etc., across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities: Managing SEA eMarketplaces business through its key pillars.

  • Align with all Marketplace & enablers to ensure smooth campaign launches (brand or commercial).
  • Execute business strategies with third-party enablers based on aligned guidelines and timelines.
  • Plan and execute platform mega campaigns and SBD events.

  • Collaborate with brand, supply chain, and finance teams for forecasting & trend reporting.

Marketing Working Budget Management (20%)

  • Track and manage the budget to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor onsite ads daily to ensure alignment with brand direction.
  • Manage store's affiliation programs to optimize returns.
  • Review marketing budget with key stakeholders.
  • Implement consumer engagement initiatives like livestreams and social content to boost sales.
  • Collaborate with brand & activation teams on animation plans to maximize sales.

Consumer Experience (15%)

  • Design optimal layouts for eSIS, campaign pages, banners, and product pages for an excellent shopping experience.
  • Curate product collections and manage out-of-stock listings for easy browsing.
  • Set up promotional tools & sponsored solutions to support campaign activation and drive traffic.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing eCommerce/Marketplace/Social Commerce operations (Lazada/Shopee/Tiktok Shop).
  • Result-oriented and proactive personality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English; SEA languages are a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and promote continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing multiple markets is advantageous.

Role
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team, responsible for managing and optimizing our Data Exploration Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the resiliency, stability, security and performance of our platform, as well as providing technical expertise to support the development of data analytics and visualizations solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and deploy reliable, scalable and secure Data Exploration Platform solutions
Manage the platform, including upgrades, patches, configuration changes, system resource allocation and utilization
Optimize the performance of our platform, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data processing and query performance
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize the use of our platform.
Ensure the security and compliance of our platform, including implementing and enforcing data access controls, authentication and authorization.
Provide technical expertise and support to our stakeholders, including training and guidance on the use of our platform.
Identify technology and system pitfalls and bring industry standards and best practices to the team
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Good Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts and tools, such as Python, R, or SQL.
Good understanding of data modelling, data architecture, and data quality principles.
Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Competent in programming languages such as Scala, Python, Java
Competent in using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines effectively
Nice to Have
Good technical skills in areas such as data warehousing, ETL, data governance, and data visualization.
Experience with cluster management and DevOps tools (e.g. Ansible, Kubernetes)

Experience in distributed systems
Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms, such as AWS or Azure.

Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Big Data Platform Staff Engineer to join our team, responsible for managing and optimizing our Big Data infrastructure platform. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Big Data technologies, architectures, and systems, as well as experience with managing large-scale data processing and analytics environments. The role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining the Big Data infrastructure platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.


Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage the Big Data infrastructure platform, including Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases, and data lakes.
  • Manage Big Data clusters, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cluster performance, as well as managing job scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Design and implement storage solutions for Big Data workloads, including HDFS, S3, and other object storage systems.
  • Ensure the security and governance of the Big Data infrastructure platform, including managing access controls, implementing data encryption, and conducting regular security audits.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to optimize Big Data application performance and provide technical support and guidance on using the Big Data infrastructure platform.
  • Plan and manage Big Data resource capacity, including forecasting, procurement, and deployment of new hardware and software.


Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing Big Data Platforms. Proven experience with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Elastic Stack, Kudu, NiFi and Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues of the Big Data stack, ranging from hardware, networking, operating system to software
  • Strong understanding of data storage systems, including HDFS, S3, and other object storage systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience in managing physical and virtual infrastructures.
  • Experience in supporting search workloads in multi-terabytes and billions of records.
  • Experience in distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines effectively.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams.


Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Big Data, such as Hadoop Certified Developer or Spark Certified Developer.
  • Experience with cloud-based Big Data platforms, such as AWS EMR, Google Cloud Dataproc, or Azure HDInsight.
  • Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

  • We are seeking an experienced Big Data Platform Staff Engineer to join our team, responsible for managing and optimizing our Big Data infrastructure platform. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Big Data technologies, architectures, and systems, as well as experience with managing large-scale data processing and analytics environments. The role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining the Big Data infrastructure platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage the Big Data infrastructure platform, including Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases, and data lakes.
  • Manage Big Data clusters, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cluster performance, as well as managing job scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Design and implement storage solutions for Big Data workloads, including HDFS, S3, and other object storage systems.
  • Ensure the security and governance of the Big Data infrastructure platform, including managing access controls, implementing data encryption, and conducting regular security audits.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to optimize Big Data application performance and provide technical support and guidance on using the Big Data infrastructure platform.
  • Plan and manage Big Data resource capacity, including forecasting, procurement, and deployment of new hardware and software.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing Big Data Platforms. Proven experience with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Elastic Stack, Kudu, NiFi and Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues of the Big Data stack, ranging from hardware, networking, operating system to software
  • Strong understanding of data storage systems, including HDFS, S3, and other object storage systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience in managing physical and virtual infrastructures.
  • Experience in supporting search workloads in multi-terabytes and billions of records.
  • Experience in distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines effectively.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams.
Nice to Have
  • Certifications in Big Data, such as Hadoop Certified Developer or Spark Certified Developer.
  • Experience with cloud-based Big Data platforms, such as AWS EMR, Google Cloud Dataproc, or Azure HDInsight.
  • Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.

About The Role

Join us as Manager, Product & Platform Management - Alternative Products at AIA Investment Management!

We are looking for a Manager to do private asset product development and management, drive the growth of private asset products and business as well as explore opportunities to provide private asset exposure to retail products.

Responsibilities

Product development and management

End to end management of product initiatives with a focus on alternatives including assisting with fund documentation, liaising with various service providers and legal / tax advisors and coordination of internal and external parties/ resources to ensure successful implementation of initiatives or product launch.

Client engagement

Supporting local business units investments into the funds platform with a focus on alternative investment platform(s) including creating the RFP repository for internal clients, assisting hiring manager with ongoing queries from clients and supporting improvement of performance reporting framework including the coordination of QPRs.

Alternatives Products Business Management


  • Management of alternative investment product infrastructure / platforms including preparation of board papers and AIA internal governance related materials pertaining to the management of the platform
  • Supports budgeting activities
  • Working with operation teams to enhance operational efficiencies.

Support strategic initiatives

Assist hiring manager to develop, research, set up and operationalise a framework and operating model for alternative solutions for retail/HNW participation into private assets

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or Accountancy
  • Advanced Excel and ppt skills
  • Fund Management License
  • 10-15 years
