We are seeking for a Principal, Product and Platform Management to provide business management and derivatives support for our private assets. This position will be responsible for supporting the Private Assets teams in AIA IM, managing and driving the non-investment related aspect of the businesses to allow the Portfolio Managers to focus on generating performance for the clients.
The incumbent will assist with Target Operating Model implementation, systems implementation and management (such as eFront), drive change management and assist with associated project management and other ad hoc tasks ancillary to the Private Assets business. With an understanding of the private asset investment instruments (namely, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Real Estate and Private Credit), this role will also support derivatives management for Private Assets funds/portfolios.
Responsibilities
Private Assets Business Management:
Assist to design, develop and implement robust efficient processes and Target Operating Model (TOMs) around the investment teams to maximize financial returns, mitigate risks and ensure clear deliverables and priorities for the teams.
Manage pipeline of activities and drive change management (around new accounts, clients, portfolios, instruments, tools, process flow changes, systems changes) for the Private Assets business working alongside the Private Assets Services team.
- Maintaining frequent and open communication with Private Assets investment teams, clients and other internal stakeholders to assess change delivery capacity and timelines.
Working with internal stakeholders and to identify areas which require modification to the design of existing products and infrastructure, to drive such design and implementation to ensure robust optimal solutions.
Managing the end-to-end implementation and co-ordinating across functions to on-board new mandates and ensure operational readiness sign-off.Drive transaction management around investments, implement and manage system changes, operational readiness for key transaction execution. This includes collaboration with internal teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of investment processes for key transactions.
Assists with systems implementation and management
Private Assets Derivatives Portfolio Management support:
- Handle derivatives portfolios across private asset classes to ensure that they are in line with portfolio mandates, fund benchmarks and key risk metrics.
- Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Derivatives team to assist with hedging requirements, validate hedging strategy and execute and manage derivative positions
- To efficiently manage resources (cash, collateral, risk limits) that are ancillary to the derivatives portfolios.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of business management experience especially around private assets so there is a strong understanding of the end-to-end process flow across different private asset classes
- Strong knowledge of Aladdin/Bloomberg/eFront and other investment systems and tools is an advantage.
- Strong project management, communication and influencing skills to be able to deliver on complex tasks
- Solid stakeholder management skills to work across multiple departments

Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Competent in programming languages such as Scala, Python, Java

Nice to Have

- Lead the solutioning of SCDF Integrated Case Management need.
• Drive the team to study SCDF-wide Case Management Requirement

- Project/Program delivery with a strong technical leadership background in various Cloud Product suites in AWS/GCP etc.
- An understanding of Agile is desirable but not essential.
- Experience decomposing complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions, with full responsibility and working with senior executives and cross-functional teams to successfully navigate complexities and ensure project deliverables are achieved.
- Experience advising on technical solutioning when needed.
- Experience working with teams not co-located.
Qualifications
- Experience ranging from 12-18 years in Technical Program Management or a similar technical leadership role in the Tech Industry.
- Experienced in seamlessly managing complex, cross-functional portfolio/programs, and leading all aspects of assigned program delivery.
- Experience leading technical and business discussions/reviews for complex programs and projects within the portfolio, and bring business and technical judgement to decisions made across groups.
- Experienced in driving best practices across multiple disciplines to improve improve team responsiveness.
- Experience defining how to lead portfolio/programs and identify opportunities to enhance the process using a data-driven approach.
