Job scope
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the engineering organisation responsible for backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
Own end-to-end software delivery: architecture, development, testing, security, and operational uptime.
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team across multiple product lines.
Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, incident response).
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and quality standards (e.g., ISO27001).
Work cross-functionally with Product, AI, and Hardware teams to translate product goals into technical execution.
Drive engineering excellence through metrics, agile practices, and scalable development processes.
Contribute to the development of long-term technology vision and infrastructure strategy.
Requirements:
6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
Proven track record in scaling SaaS platforms, preferably in regulated or high-reliability domains (aviation, logistics, mobility).
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), backend architecture, system security, and DevOps practices.
Experience with AGILE development, microservices, APIs, containerization, and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment with an execution-driven mindset.
Bonus: experience in aviation, drones, aerospace, or IoT systems.
