Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out all preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and submit necessary reports to Superior from time to time
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize system performance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in designs and installations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including electrical drawings, schematics, and reports.
- Responsible for the proper maintenance on various rotating and static equipment and systems.
- Ensure minimum down time or timely repairs of production equipment.
- Determine materials, spares, tools and method required to complete maintenance task safely.
- Plan and execute machinery condition monitoring and field data collection with production team and engineers.
- Supervise and work closely with in-house contractor and equipment vendor to execute maintenance work at the site. Ensure safeguards are followed such as valid work permit are issued, wearing prescribed personal protection equipment etc.
- Liaise with production team with all aspects of Electrical system testing, running, trouble-shooting, carry out material specification checks on piping, valves, solenoid, transmitter, positional, RTD and other equipment.
- Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by superiors.
- Able to perform valve line up & LOTO for operations or maintenance preparations.
- Authorized to stop work and report any unsafe acts or conditions, and ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety regulations and procedures
- Adhere to established quality, environmental protection, health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years practical experience in the oil, gas and petrochemical refinery.
- Experience in hands-on troubleshooting of Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical system.
- Familiar with Permit to Work system and local codes, regulations and standards requirement.
- Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office and trained in the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with ASU, Air Compressor, Gas turbine, motor, pump or gas engine generator maintenance and operations will be an added advantage.
