A day in the life of Plant Engineer

• Overseeing repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and tools (hydraulic, mechanical systems)
• Diagnosing faults, recommending and supervising repair works
• Designing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce machine downtime
• Planning daily workshop activities and coordinating with project teams on equipment needs
• Inspecting new machines or equipment for compliance with specifications before use
• Supporting the training and upskilling of mechanics and yard crew
• Conducting regular audits and inspections on workshop operations
• Collaborating with Yard Manager to improve SOPs and maintenance practices
• Monitoring spare parts inventory, tool availability and coordinating with Ops for requisition

You will need:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance
• Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for a senior role
• Solid knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic systems and diagnostic techniques
• Experience working with multiple machine brands or equipment types is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintenance documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

The successful candidate will lead and oversee a team of technicians and external technical professionals to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects and the development of innovative solutions.

1. Control of Plant equipment including monitoring working condition, updates on latest information from Logs books and service reports, and in-charge operation and maintenance of all Plant equipment.

3. Preventive Maintenance Program including planning together with Chief Engineer for Annual Preventive Maintenance including design and implementation of proper economic schedule of repair of various equipment and controls, ensure Technician on duty carried out the PM Program work according to the schedule, monitor work quality.
4. Energy Conservation Program including supervise and guide Technician to carry out Energy Conservation Program, closely monitor and control all operating parameters of Utilities / Equipment Operation to ensure high efficiency of utilization and report to Chief Engineer any deviation in the permits perimeters.
5. Training including arrange On Job Training, record all training.
6. Emergencies including work along side with Chief Engineer to ensure Fire Protection system operate in accordance to design and requirement, coordinate Engineering support as required in Hotel Emergency procedure immediately.
7. Others including recommend methods for improving performance of Hotel equipment and Facilities, perform other duties as directed by Chief Engineer.

Our team is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, specifying, recommending, developing and commissioning customized automated equipment and machinery.

You will conduct cost/benefit analyses, develop Statement of Work for proposals, machine specifications and FAT/SAT. You will analyze operational problems and develop/implement engineering solutions for existing or new processes.
