Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and autonomous robotics manufacturing to ensure smooth operations & production, resolving technical issues, quality control, cost-effectiveness and improving yield. They collaborate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to improve workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technologies. Their role involves analyzing production data, process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily production operations to ensure smooth execution and adherence to production schedules.
· Identify potential EHS risks in the production processes, areas and develop, propose and drive for implementation of mitigation strategies.
· Develop and implement standardized work procedures, manufacturing best practices, and operational workflows.
· Identify and reduce bottlenecks, downtime, and inefficiencies in the production line and implement Lean methodologies such as 5S, and Kaizen to enhance productivity.
· Provide technical support for production issues, including mechanical, electrical, and process-related challenges.
· Collaborate with Process Engineers to establish root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve process reliability.
· Work closely with the Engineering and Quality team to address non-conformances, deviations, and rework processes.
· Ensure the seamless transition of new products from R&D to production (NPI), by monitoring and supporting the validation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
· Work with R&D, quality and Process Engineers to develop, maintain and improve production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and process control plans.
· Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of production equipment tools, jigs, and fixtures.
· Drive and support the integration of automation, digitalisation solutions to streamline production workflows.
· Train and guide production technicians and operators on best practices and SOPs.
· Proactively create and encourage a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and analysing production data to identify areas for improvements.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
· 3+ years of experience in production or manufacturing engineering, preferably in robotics, electronics, or automation industries.
· Hands on experience in Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.
· Understanding of safety and quality standards
Skills :
· Strong knowledge of assembly processes, production line balancing, and workstation optimization.
· Familiarity with robotics assembly, mechatronics, and precision manufacturing techniques.
· Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems (e.g., Odoo), and data analysis tools.
· Hands-on experience with troubleshooting automation systems and production equipment.
