What you'll do
- Case manage high-cost/complex cases, ensuring appropriate, safe, and cost-effective care
- Conduct pre-authorizations for inpatient treatment and review medical claims
- Lead clinical adjudication and negotiate fair, evidence-based care plans and costs
- Provide internal clinical consultation to Care Operations, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Medical Provider Management (MPM) team
- Build and maintain effective relationships with providers, brokers, and clients (in collaboration with MPM)
- Partner with global medical decision-makers to align on best practice and outcomes
- Contribute to clinical guidelines, process improvements, and knowledge sharing
- Ad hoc duties aligned to the Medical Services function
- Note: Training and onboarding support will be provided. No regular travel required.
Who you are
- Medical degree with at least 2 years of clinical experience/residency (ER exposure advantageous)
- Registered medical doctor; active clinical practice license not required for this role
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to balance medical appropriateness and cost-effectiveness
- Healthcare insurance/assistance or managed care experience is an advantage
- Negotiation skills and experience engaging with hospitals/providers are a plus
- Fluent English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese are beneficial. Other languages are a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital tools
- Eligible to work in Singapore
Working pattern and location
- Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
- Work 5 days within a 7-day operation, including public holidays. Operational hours are 07:00-22:00 SGT, Monday to Sunday, with rotating shifts and two consecutive days off.
