We are looking for an individual with strong payroll experience, can-do attitude, time management, inter-personal, and multi-tasking skills to join the team. The incumbent will assist the payroll dept in the day to day support on duties pertaining to payroll operations.
Payroll Execution and Support
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution for Singapore main payroll run and off cycles payroll reports (main role), HK & Macau (supporting role) payroll runs.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and submission of statutory payments (e.g., CPF).
- Liaise with payroll vendor to settle the Pro-Family Government related claims (i.e., CCL, ECCL, ML, PL, Shared Parental Leave) and NSMen Claims by validating the employee details from HRIS (i.e. SAP Successfactors).
- Strong focus on tax fillings with IRAS and audits to ensure compliance.
- Assist with reconciliation of payroll-related GL accounts.
- Assists in requests from HR on ad-hoc reports, ex-employees' request for payslips and tax forms.
- Perform any ad-hoc payroll duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in HR or Business Management with 1-2 years of payroll experience
- Computer proficiency and strong skills in MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel. Successfactor, WFM (Kronos) Time & Attendance system experience is an advantage
- Good communications and writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Strong sense of urgency
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in payroll vendor management is a plus
- Hands-on payroll experience in Singapore preferred

Payroll Processing
- Consolidate and validate all moderately complex payroll inputs and provide to the payroll vendor as per the payroll calendar (this is to include new hire registration, setting up new pay codes, shifts etc.)
- Validate the gross to net and other outputs from the payroll vendor to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure employees and liabilities are paid on time.
- Assure employees are provided with relevant documents as applicable, deregistration is completed.
- Keep up to date with local legislation to ensure correctness and compliance.
Employee Assistance
- Assist employees with their payroll moderately complex inquiries in a timely manner (this is to include new hires onboarding)
Governmental & Internal Reporting
- Ensure timely reporting to external and internal stakeholders defined by local legislation in force and internal SOPs and requirements
Audit support
- Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits in a timely manner and desired quality & standards, demonstrating all activities are performed in accordance with SOPs, HR policies, and legal legislation to meet SOX requirements (this is to include assistance with reconciliation of all payroll-related general ledger accounts).
SOP & documentation of payroll processes
- Ensure regular updates and revision of the SOP documentation.
- Provide input for the development of MyHR articles, communication materials related to programs, plans, policies, processes

Education/ Experience (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Computer Systems, or related field
• 2 years of experience in Payroll analysis

We are seeking an Accounting & Payroll Analyst on a part-time basis to join a growing Partner Practice within St. James’s Place Singapore. The role is a key appointment to support the business in achieving its immediate and long-term business plan objectives. The Accounting & Payroll Analyst has overall responsibility for accounting & financial operations within the business, including aspects of the payroll function for Advisers. The role primarily involves task management, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Administration
Implement aspects of payroll function for the Practice, including monthly commission payments to Financial Advisers.
Financial Reporting
Prepare consolidated accounts and monthly financial reports for the Practice, and SJP senior management as needed.
Maintain financial models to support budgeting, revenue forecasting and expense tracking across Practice operations.
Ensure financial control is maintained and efficiencies are achieved with existing financial processes and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Take on ad hoc duties and other projects that may be assigned.
Key Skills & Experience
Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and process-driven with strong attention to detail.
2+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably within financial services, wealth management, or a professional services firm.
Comfortable using CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience would be a significant advantage.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Familiarity with the St. James’s Place business model and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
