Description
The Payroll & Accounting Manager will be responsible in overseeing the payroll operations across APAC ensuring accurate and timely processing with support from local payroll agents.You will oversee payroll compliance, manage banking relationships and support process improvements projects. In addition to this, you will be supporting on month end closing, preparation of financial statements, management reports, audit and tax matters. You will collaborate with regional finance managers and external stakeholders across multiple countries. You are a change agent in participating in transformation projects to streamline operations.
Profile
A successful Payroll & Accounting Manager should have:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- Recent experience holding dual portfolio in payroll and finance portfolio with a reputable multinational.
- Strong understanding of Asia payroll practices, banking relationships and multi-currency operations.
- Hands-on and adaptable, thrives well in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Job scope:
Accounting & Finance
Manage daily bookkeeping: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank transactions.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate General Ledger entries.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
Prepare month-end schedules (AR/AP aging, accruals, prepayments, depreciation) for external accountant review.
Extract, organize, and verify data for GST reporting.
Maintain systematic filing of all accounting and finance records (digital and physical).
Liaise with external accountants and auditors on queries or document requests.
Payroll Administration
Prepare and process monthly payroll, CPF submissions, IRAS filings.
Maintain claims and leave tracking for payroll accuracy.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate monthly closing activities and adjustments with external accountants.
Support the General Manager with financial data, summaries, and group reporting requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting, tax, and payroll deliverables.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting & Payroll Analyst on a part-time basis to join a growing Partner Practice within St. James’s Place Singapore. The role is a key appointment to support the business in achieving its immediate and long-term business plan objectives. The Accounting & Payroll Analyst has overall responsibility for accounting & financial operations within the business, including aspects of the payroll function for Advisers. The role primarily involves task management, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Administration
Implement aspects of payroll function for the Practice, including monthly commission payments to Financial Advisers.
Financial Reporting
Prepare consolidated accounts and monthly financial reports for the Practice, and SJP senior management as needed.
Maintain financial models to support budgeting, revenue forecasting and expense tracking across Practice operations.
Ensure financial control is maintained and efficiencies are achieved with existing financial processes and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Take on ad hoc duties and other projects that may be assigned.
Key Skills & Experience
Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and process-driven with strong attention to detail.
2+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably within financial services, wealth management, or a professional services firm.
Comfortable using CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience would be a significant advantage.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Familiarity with the St. James’s Place business model and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
