As a Packaging Process Engineer, you will be responsible for working in conjunction with sales managers and customer service personnel to deliver technical solutions that meet the customers' needs. You will communicate and manage all customer process and package roadmap strategies, coordinate factory/customer technical projects, and serve as the point of contact for new quality/reliability programs.
You will also provide technical support to sales managers and the rest of the sales team to gain market share and improve customer profitability status. Additionally, you will develop, deliver technical presentations, design generation, implement change notices, resolve technical issues, prepare for audits and factory visits with customers.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams worldwide is essential in this role.

- Review reports and action as required to ensure customers receive the correct quantity of product, at the right time and in the right location to meet budgeted, contracted, and forecast requirements
- Report on any information relevant to the liquidity of a customer to identify and limit any possible exposure to Brenntag of any debts
- Seek prompt payment of debtors and address problem accounts when necessary
- In conjunction with Commercial/Business/Product Managers, conduct market studies on potential new product opportunities by contacting customers to gather interest and test market demand
- Drive commercial and functional excellence based on guidance/ input from Commercial Excellence Team
- Increase product knowledge by undertaking regular reviews of product data to understand the technical merits of the products handled by Brenntag as well as participating in product knowledge initiatives
- Report on market and competitor information e.g., pricing, key customer strategies, trends, key personnel movements, and new product opportunities etc.

Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualified in an industry related discipline (science/chemistry)

- Technically sound in coatings/paints/chemicals/raw ingredients discipline with the ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition of raw ingredient products
- Experience in distribution, chemical or other similar industry desirable but not essential

Strategic Marketing Specialist – Asia Pacific is a leadership role in B2B strategic marketing, responsible for analyzing markets, identifying growth opportunities, and validating unique value propositions for the company's PVOH business, with initial focus on Southeast Asia and South Asia.
This role is based at the Company Asia Headquarters in Singapore and reports to the Head of Sales Asia Pacific, with functional guidance from the Head of Global Marketing & Sales.
Requirements:
- At least 4+ years of experience, expertise in strategic marketing or strategy roles.
- Experience in a B2B material science company is a plus.
- 5+ years in customer-facing positions.
- MBA or equivalent degree/qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Market Research
- Analyze market trends, including macro trends and competitive analysis.
- Identify emerging and untapped growth opportunities through market segmentation.
- Prioritize opportunities and make business recommendations, including targeting and positioning.
- Project Management
- Lead projects such as market development, new product development, or new business models.
- Manage cross-functional teams to commercialize business through stage-gate innovation processes.
- Leadership in Competency Development
- Train and coach the organization on key strategic marketing frameworks and methodologies, including:
- Market sizing, segmentation, financial modeling (NPV, IRR, break-even analysis), value chain analysis, VOC analysis, value proposition development, value pricing, 4P strategy.
- Develop necessary tools.
- Lead virtual global teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and set up a new plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) system.
Design experiments for PECVD growth of boron nitride nanomaterials.
Optimize PECVD parameters.
Perform and analyze SEM, TEM, Raman, and other material characterizations.
Conduct thermal characterization and real-application tests.
Prepare monthly reports and presentations for meetings and project deliverables.
Mentor PhD students.
Job Requirements
PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related disciplines.
Experience operating CVD systems for growth of 2D and nanomaterials.
Experience with nanomaterial characterization techniques.
Good management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Strong sense of responsibility for research and work.
