Working with Sales Support:
- Confirm delivery dates and addresses with the sales support team.
- Get freight cost and transit time quotes from forwarders for the team or customers.
- Let sales support know when orders are ready for local delivery, export, or port delivery.
- Help arrange transport for deliveries and exports with forwarding agents.
- Check if there is enough stock when asked by the sales support team.
- Provide product samples or photos if requested by customers or distributors.
- Support urgent shipments needed at the last minute.
Logistics Coordination:
- Work with storekeepers to meet order picking deadlines.
- Make sure the correct items are picked and ready on time.
- Enter product serial numbers into the system (EQ order and Navision) after receiving pick tickets.
- Create delivery orders (DO) for local deliveries, with full details like size, weight, vessel name, and PO number.
- Plan and assign deliveries to drivers efficiently.
- Prepare shipping documents (like proforma invoices and packing lists) for export.
- Share shipping labels with the warehouse team.
- Arrange fumigation for wooden pallets if required for export.
- Check transporter invoices to avoid overcharges before sending to accounts for payment.
- Ensure all orders are posted in Navision so that DOs can be created.
- Build good relationships with forwarders to get better rates and service.
- Work closely and positively with storekeepers as a team.
- Help the purchasing, admin, or accounts teams when needed.
