About the Position:
- This position focuses on leading the design, development, and integration of high-voltage power supplies, laser drivers, thermal controllers, safety interlocks, and control electronics for advanced electro-optic systems.
- We seek a skilled engineer to handle prototyping, testing, and integration of sensors, diagnostics, and safety modules, ensuring all designs meet EMI/EMC compliance and maintain signal integrity.

The role requires expertise in nano optics design and fabrication, optical system design and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.
Responsibility:
- Design and simulation of the metasurface optics, diffractive optics and other nano optical structures, especially combining with the micro-display devices (microLED and microOLED) for AR/VR applications

Construct complex system models using above components having all imaging paths with critical parameters needed to produce accurate and efficient raytracing simulations of Strehl/WFE performance, coherent and incoherent PSF size/shape, focal depth of field and pupil, multiple bounce ghost and non-sequential stray light analysis, and polarization ray tracing to quantify transmission, retardance, diattenuation.
Interferometry experience preferred.
Education or experience should include:
Designing, modeling and analyzing optical systems.
Optical manufacturing processes.
Code V or Zemax Optical software advanced user.
Statistical lens tolerancing.
Ghost and stray light analysis.

- Evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for the latest NPI products.
- Perform electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.
- Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner
- Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab, including maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurement instrumentation, as well as software control and automation of the set-ups.
