This is a research scientist position that involves working in a clean room environment to prepare radiopharmaceuticals. The role requires strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Radiolabelling of peptides, antibodies or small molecules using radionuclides such as Lu-177, Ga-68, F-18, etc.
  2. Preparing and reviewing batch records, lab notebooks, SOPs and other QC documents.
  3. Assisting with emergency maintenance/calibration of radiochemistry synthesis and dispensing modules.
  4. Supporting deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control implementations as needed.
  5. Performing ad-hoc clean room activities including cleaning of rooms, stock inventory and environmental monitoring.
  6. Safe handling of radioactive materials including hazardous waste disposal.
  7. Working flexible hours, shifts or weekends based on production schedules and isotope half-lives.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of BSc degree in Synthetic Organic/ Inorganic/ Medical Chemistry or a related science discipline.
  2. Practical experiences in general laboratory techniques, such as analytical balance operations, pipetting, pH measurement and reagents preparation.
  3. Experiences in pharmaceutical production under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an added advantage.
  4. Experiences in radiolabelling and purification techniques with short-lived radioisotopes (F-18, C-11, Ga-68) or Lu-177 is highly desirable.
  5. Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as a constructive team player.
  6. Require critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  7. High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

  • Coordinate with project managers to plan schedules for calling quotations of sub-contractors and materials.
  • Evaluate the quality of drawings and information to ensure they reflect actual site requirements or amendments from clients or consultants.
