As an Onboarding Associate, you will be responsible for reviewing account openings, conducting due diligence checks, and providing advice to various business functions. Your main objective will be to ensure compliance with internal policies and AML/KYC requirements, while also identifying opportunities for onboarding process improvement to mitigate compliance risks.

The role will support our APAC onboarding requirements and report to the CEO/Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (ECDD) in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines;
  • Conduct periodic reviews based on KYC/KYB CDD guidelines, ensuring timely updates and escalations where required;
  • Provide high-quality customer service by owning, monitoring, and improving customer service, handling customer inquiries, and managing communications with customers throughout the entire onboarding process;
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer onboarding and account administration;
  • Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other subjects relevant to day-to-day work;
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher;
  • 1–3 years of experience in a compliance, onboarding, or due diligence role, preferably within financial services or fintech sectors;
  • Good understanding of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) PSN02 Guidelines, Notices, and related laws, directives, regulations, and compliance standards;
  • Familiarity with emerging virtual currency regulatory frameworks in other jurisdictions is a plus;
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills;
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to review and assess documents in both languages.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum GCE "O" or "N" level or above.
  • Able to commit for 4 months

What you’ll do
  1. Conduct quality control reviews on key FCC processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC), due diligence, sanctions and name screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting.
  2. Evaluate execution of operational procedures against defined policies, standards, and jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
  3. Identify control gaps or process deviations and escalate findings with clear risk articulation.
  4. Produce timely and well-structured QC reports, highlighting findings, trends, and actionable remediation plans.
  5. Track remediation activities through to completion, ensuring effective resolution of identified issues.
  6. Develop and maintain Management Information (MI) dashboards and indicators to provide senior management with visibility of emerging risks and quality trends.
  7. Partner with FCC Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to support enhancements in quality control frameworks and controls.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in financial crime compliance, quality control, or assurance within payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF and sanctions frameworks, with working knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting.
  • Experience conducting reviews, preparing findings, and supporting remediation tracking.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in FCC quality control review or compliance testing in Financial Institutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
  • Strong data analytical skills and practical knowledge of SQL/Excel and other analysis tool/ MI Reporting tools
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CAMS or CFE preferred.

What will you be doing?

  • Inbound Call Management / Outbound Call Activities: Conduct outbound onboarding calls to potential customers to assist them in starting their journey with eToro .

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.

  • Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining quality and professionalism.

  • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to handle objections and close deals effectively.
