We are seeking a seasoned and experienced professional to lead our nursing education initiatives.

• Training Program Development: Design, implement and evaluate structured training programs in renal nursing, focusing on dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, peritoneal and haemodialysis.
• Clinical Learning Environment: Establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments for nursing staff and students.
• Preceptorship Schemes: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate preceptorship schemes to support the clinical development of new staff.
• On-the-Job Training: Provide on-the-job training for new staff members and assist nurse managers in ensuring their competencies.
• Training Coordination: Coordinate and organize training activities to strengthen unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices.
• Course Development: Plan, implement and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training courses for nursing staff.
• Competency Assurance: Ensure appropriate orientation, training and continuing education opportunities are provided to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
• Nursing Standards: Assist in the development and implementation of nursing standards to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
• Resource Person: Act as a resource person to nurse managers on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
• Medico-Legal Compliance: Apply principles to prevent medico-legal issues related to patient care and conduct summative assessments of nursing staff and students.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to communicate effectively with nursing staff and students, and have a strong understanding of renal nursing principles and best practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that meet the needs of our nursing staff and students.

They will also be expected to establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments, assess and evaluate preceptorship schemes, and provide on-the-job training for new staff members.

In addition, they will coordinate and organize training activities, develop and implement training courses, and ensure that nursing staff and students receive appropriate orientation, training and continuing education opportunities.

The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of renal nursing principles and best practices.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in clinical care.
• Preferably possess a Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education.
