The role of Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) plays a vital part in the delivery of high-quality care to residents. As an ANM, you will provide clinical and administrative support to the Nurse Manager while upholding the values of our Home.
Job Purpose:The primary function of this position is to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure adequate staffing levels across shifts. This includes applying a holistic and multifaceted approach to planning and delivering care that meets residents' needs, ensuring nursing services comply with all regulations, licensing, and professional standards, and conducting regular nursing rounds to identify clinical and service gaps.
You will also liaise with doctors, dietitians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate residents' care, deputise for the Nurse Manager in their absence, and serve as a resource person for Staff Nurses and below.
Responsibilities:- Plan and schedule work assignments, and assist the Nurse Manager in determining staffing requirements.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor nurses to ensure high standards of practice and service.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback to the Nurse Manager.
- Conduct performance appraisals and counsel staff on professional conduct and practices.
- Coordinate induction and orientation programmes for new, promoted, or re-designated staff. Provide direct induction support where required.
- Oversee ongoing staff education and training to ensure safe and quality care delivery.
- Identify and present resident care issues during clinical conferences and other professional platforms.

- A degree in a health-related subject or equivalent, OR post-basic Certificate / Advanced Diploma in a Nursing specialty, OR Diploma in Nursing (recognised by the Singapore Nursing Board).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar leadership position in a medium or large-sized nursing home, OR at least 6 years of nursing experience as a Senior Staff Nurse in an acute or community hospital.
- State Registered Nurse with a valid Practising Certificate from the Singapore Nursing Board.
