Job Description:

The role of Project Management Engineer involves overseeing quantity take-offs and cost control functions for projects. This includes subcontract management, supervision, planning of daily work schedules and progress tracking, as well as administering variations to subcontractors and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing progress certificates for subcontractors and suppliers, assisting in the preparation of monthly cost reporting and forecasting, identifying and pricing variations to contracts, and maintaining registers of variations and extension of time claims.

Effective liaison with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors is crucial to capture all relevant information related to variations and extension of time claims.

M&E Coordinator

To coordinate and supervise M&E works to ensure smooth, timely progress of works. This includes reviewing project specifications, identifying discrepancies in drawings, ensuring quality compliance with standard regulations.

Key responsibilities include arranging and attending inspection or meeting with clients or contractors as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution is essential for this role.

BASIC FUNCTIONS
The engineer will be responsible in the planning and execution of projects. He will work with the sales teams/customers/distributors, support the industrial solution team to advise on project feasibility study, variation order and manage submittals for approval upon order.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the project management duties and ensure all key milestones are met within the schedule.
Generate the master project schedule and monitor project executions milestones.
Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties to carry out the implementation works of the project.
Monitor respective functions responsibilities and ensure project milestones are on track
Coordinate and Lead the Factory Acceptance Test with customers and distributors.
Ensure all documentations are agreed and endorsed for delivery.
Schedule and coordinate the on-site testing and ensured smooth transition to the aftermarket team.
To provide the first level technical support during project execution.
Work with engineering team on project feasibility studies and assist Industrial Solution team to generate project cost estimation in term of project management activities.
Submit a monthly report on the project status to highlight key issue or concern relating to the project delivery and milestones.
Provide engineering support on 3rd party product and drawings for submittals purpose.
Participate in continuous improvement project.
Work with interplant associates on deliveries, factory tests and project documentation.
Work closely with scheduler, customer service team and the production team, update projects status in weekly project meeting.
Attend weekly site meeting with the main con and consultant if required.
Manage site installations work and ensure completion within stipulated timeline.
Coordinate and work with sub-contractors on site installations work, drawings, and materials submittals.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 2 - 3 years of relevant experience; or
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
Good interpersonal skills along with good oral and written communication skills
Able to read and interpret M & E drawings
Familiar with generators, controls, and its associated equipment & accessories will be added advantage
Familiar with generators standards and codes will be added advantage
WORKING HOURS / LOCATION
5-day work week
8.30am to 5.15pm
Located in Jurong

Job Responsibilities:-

• Manage the document review process, including collating comments from all reviewing parties and ensuring proper follow-up to the review comments.
• Manage and coordinate the design, installation, testing and commissioning activity, including coordination with all stakeholders (contractors, site owners, end users).
• Liaise with the contractors and stakeholders to monitor and update the programme and work schedule.
• Provide the assistance to the project team in terms of project delivery.

Required Experience and Skills:-

• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as Project Engineer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for Windows.
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently.
• Able to cope with flexible working hour.
• Be expected to travel regularly between office and sites
• Ability to work and collaborate with team.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

A project management expert is required to oversee various projects from design to installation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, as well as experience in drawing software such as AutoCAD.
