Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Network Administrator located in Changi . The Network Administrator will be responsible for the daily maintenance, management, and troubleshooting of network systems. Duties include configuring and monitoring network equipment, diagnosing and resolving network issues, ensuring network security, and providing technical support to end-users. The role also involves collaboration with other IT staff to support system administration tasks and ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure.
- Conduct Pre-Installation Site Surveys / Discovery Surveys in coordination with remote teams.
- Support the completion of Site Survey templates by collecting detailed data onsite.
- Validate the existing network setup against customer-provided diagrams and report any discrepancies.
- Perform inventory checks and physical verifications of site assets.
- Assess site layout, safety, rack availability, cabling, and power infrastructure.
- Map and update Access Point (AP) locations and IDF/MDF positions on floor plans.
- Review and analyze cabling schematics for core sites to plan rack and stack configurations.
- Provide hands & feet support during deployment and installation of:
- SDWAN and Branch WAN Routers
- Data Center Network Components
- Branch Switches and Access Points
- Surface mount brackets and network cabinets
- Branch Servers
- Assist in onsite implementation efforts, working closely with cross-functional remote teams.
- Offer post-deployment onsite support to ensure system integrity and functionality.
- Work outside regular business hours as required, based on customer downtime windows.
