RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is required to managed and support 1-Net's IT Services business, including Cloud Services, Managed Services, DC services, and Business Continuity Management Services.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 2nd/3rd level support to Network Services
  • Problem resolution in customer network issues
  • Plan, implement, review and project manage network infrastructure projects and operations
  • Test, evaluate and recommend new networking products for customers
  • Review and continuously enhance existing network services
  • Improve network performance; optimize network usage and bandwidth usage and secure the core network
  • Optimize routing policies and capacity management to ensure minimal network latencies and outages
  • Secure network with relevant security policies
  • Responsive to solve network issues, on standby 24x7
  • Assist L1/L2 Engineers to handle customers' issues directly
  • Recommend suitable and relevant solutions to solve customers' issues
  • Provide maintenance support for all network infrastructure
  • Provide monthly network infrastructure performance review report and capacity planning recommendations
  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the implemented solutions in meeting user's requirements and work processes and procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness & quality of project delivery.
  • Structured cabling system implementation and cross connect provisioning.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • In depth practical experience in LAN/WAN implementation which include router & switches setup and configuration.
  • Knowledge and experience with networking protocols, including BGP, VXLAN EVPN, OSPF, IOX-XR, NX-OS
  • Structured Network Infrastructure for Layer 2 & 3 support.
  • Certification in CCNA, CCNP is highly preferred
  • Shift work required

Your Role

This role is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of network and infrastructure operations. What You’ll Do

  • Deliver Tier I network support and customer service for mission-critical, 24/7 Data Centers.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Provide both proactive and reactive assistance to external customers.
  • Support the network environment—logging unfamiliar issues, owning resolution efforts, or escalating as required.
  • Receive, triage, and respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and portal tickets from internal and external users.
  • Detect and analyze alarms to perform basic fault isolation and troubleshooting; escalate to Tier II, Tier III, or management when needed.
  • Generate and publish incident, maintenance, and advisory notifications for internal and external stakeholders at site or regional levels.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet defined KPIs and service-level commitments.
  • Maintain clear, effective communication with Tier II, Tier III, and management for urgent or high-priority cases.
  • Document incidents, maintenance, and problem details in real-time.
  • Ensure customer SLAs are consistently met.
  • Maintain current knowledge through training—both internal and external—as well as continued education and professional development.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a 24/7 Network Operations Center, Contact Center, or equivalent environment.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or technical support experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
  • Self-discipline and commitment to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite, and Visio.

  • Receive, triage, and respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and portal tickets from internal and external users.
  • Detect and analyze alarms to perform basic fault isolation and troubleshooting; escalate to Tier II, Tier III, or management when needed.
  • Generate and publish incident, maintenance, and advisory notifications for internal and external stakeholders at site or regional levels.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet defined KPIs and service-level commitments.
  • Maintain clear, effective communication with Tier II, Tier III, and management for urgent or high-priority cases.
  • Document incidents, maintenance, and problem details in real-time.
  • Ensure customer SLAs are consistently met.
  • Maintain current knowledge through training—both internal and external—as well as continued education and professional development.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a 24/7 Network Operations Center, Contact Center, or equivalent environment.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or technical support experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
  • Self-discipline and commitment to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite, and Visio.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Network Operations Engineer is a network hardware and circuit support engineer for all levels of the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in production network and internet peering strategies
  • Experience with networking technologies relative to content delivery network, monitoring capacity and peering traffic.
  • Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor servers and various software and hardware issues
  • Working with multiple TAC vendors to fix the hardware issues
  • Handle traffic and any other queries raised by ISP/partners
  • Capable of driving the first level of Escalations reported by the team.
  • Capability to prepare both Technical and Process MOP and circulating with other Team Leads.
  • Support team in handling network and traffic peering for any Layer 1 to Layer 3 issues.
  • Capability to drive data insights and report them on and as required.
  • Participating in multiple meetings and providing weekly presentations related to Network Performance and Escalations.
  • Work with ISP/vendors on fixing any issues related to network
  • Jointly working with the Regional and Other region Team Leads.
  • Participate in 24/7 support with other teams across the globe. Some weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Understanding of network and traffic peering
  • Understanding of fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies will be advantages.
  • Understanding of preparing root cause analysis for any network and server outages.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs around the world
  • Knowledgeable about the different Network Protocols like OSPF/ISIS and BGP
  • Know-how knowledge about the DWDMs involving multiple vendors like Cienna, Infinera and Cisco NCS.
  • Knowledgeable on Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment.
  • Network certifications. CCNP/JNCIP preffered
  • Any expertise in the field of Optical is a plus.
