Singapore Silat Federation is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of National Coach, Match and Artistic. If you have the competencies and passion to lead elite Silat athletes to compete at World, Asia and South-East Asia level, we want you.
- You will work together with a team of coaches to plan and implement the training and competition plans for the athletes. You will conduct regular discussions with the athletes on their progress and goals and evaluate the plans for improvement.
- You will be expected to provide technical expertise and mentorship, to guide and develop the team of coaches under you, for their growth and development, and the achievement of the Federation's goals. You will work with the Technical Team and coaches to identify and recruit suitable athletes, and develop them towards eventual national team representation.
- You will work with Sport Singapore (SportSG)/Singapore Sport Institute (SSI), National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI), to plan for the relevant development and performance support services required for the different levels of athletes.
- Where needed, you will also work with other coaches and clubs in the Silat community to ensure the achievement of the Federation's goals.

Requirements
At least 5 years of competitive coaching experience with elite and developmental youth level, and possesses strong working knowledge in all categories
Preferably possesses an internationally recognised high level coaching qualification
• Preferably possesses at least SG-Coach Level 1 (Full) certification or equivalent, and is registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC).
• Experience in leading and managing a team of coaches
Displays good understanding of sports science on long term athlete development principles
Competent in values inculcation and character development for athletes
Good planning, administrative and organisational skills
Able to communicate well in English with athletes and stakeholders

Overview
The Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF) is the national governing body for the sport of Tenpin Bowling in Singapore. We are committed to nurturing talent, driving performance excellence, and developing the sport at all levels.
We are inviting applications for the position of National Assistant Coach (Bowling) to support our national coaching team in preparing athletes for domestic and international success.
Responsibilities
Assist the National Head Coach in planning, conducting, and evaluating training programmes for national squads.
Provide technical and tactical guidance to athletes across different age groups and competitive levels.
Support athlete development pathways in alignment with SBF’s long-term athlete development framework.
Work closely with sports science and sports medicine professionals to enhance athletes’ performance.
Mentor and guide development coaches where required, fostering consistency in coaching philosophy and methodology.
Assist in team management and preparations for local and overseas competitions.
Contribute to talent identification and selection processes.
Requirements
Minimum Coaching certification – SBF Level 2.
Coaching in a Centre of Excellence (COE) academy for at least 2 years.
Proven coaching experience at the elite or developmental level, preferably with international exposure.
Strong technical knowledge of tenpin bowling and athlete performance development.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate athletes.
Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with coaches, officials, and administrators.
Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with competition and training schedules.
