Job Overview
The MySQL HeatWave team is seeking a qualified Sales Representative to sell MySQL Database Service (MDS) and HeatWave (HW) deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) across Singapore. This position is based in Singapore.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of selling cloud services, with the ability to understand and communicate core cloud principles such as storage, networking, security, and disaster recovery. They should be able to articulate the Oracle Cloud Value Proposition, including the technical strategy of Gen 2, and understand cloud business drivers to position OCI's competitive advantages. A passion for MySQL and Cloud Services, along with the ability to quickly identify customer pains, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Spend 50%+ of weekly time prospecting for new business.
- Forecast, manage, and close 40+ workloads annually using Oracle Sales Cloud.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders like Tech Managers, Tech SEs, Key Partners, and MySQL SEs.
- Engage with key customer stakeholders, including developers, Cloud Decision Makers, and C-level executives, to promote MDS/HW.
- Work as part of a large account team; independence is limited.
- Utilize Oracle Sales Tools effectively, including Territory and Market Intelligence, Eloqua, Datafox, Sales Cloud, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and execute a territory plan, including target companies, existing users, and marketing strategies.
- Create and present quarterly business reviews and account planning discussions.
- Conduct discovery calls effectively.
- Prepare a compelling 3-minute elevator pitch focused on Oracle Cloud + MDS/HW.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficiency in English; Korean language skills are preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles with successful revenue results.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in selling software and cloud services to SMBs and Fortune 100 companies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Organizational skills and self-motivation.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in direct software/IT sales for over 3 years.
- Knowledge of software and IT sales processes.
