REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description
As the Data Protection Officer in THK Disability Services Division, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with clients with special needs (primarily Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, mental health concerns and other disabilities). You will review and manage data protection for the Homes and Centres in THK Disability Services (THK DS). You will also support THKMC's corporate Data Protection Officer.
Responsibilities
Data Protection Policies Implementation: Assist with implementing THKMC data protection policies and providing guidance to the management and staff of THK DS in the areas of data protection and privacy
Data Protection Practice Reviews: Assist with reviews to ensure privacy and data protection compliance and proactively address potential privacy and data protection issues
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report on service-level compliance with data protection policies.
Data Subject Requests: Efficiently manage and respond to data subject access requests within legal timeframes.
Liaison: Facilitate communication between the service teams and the Corporate DPO, ensuring alignment of data protection efforts.
Documentation: Maintain and update detailed records of data processing activities at the service level.
Authority: Access to service-level data and systems for monitoring and investigative purposes.
Reporting: Reports to the Corporate DPO and service managers, including metrics and compliance status.
Any other duties: Assist with ad-hoc projects and consultations
Qualifications
Recognised degree in any field
At least 1 year of experience in any of these areas - data governance, data privacy, data risk and compliance, IT security, IT audit.
Be well spoken, resourceful and a team player who has the confidence and maturity to interact effectively with all levels of staff within the firm.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy

About The Role
Reporting to the RX Chief Privacy Officer, the APAC Data Protection Manager (DPM) ensures RX's compliance with data protection laws across China, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The role provides expert, solution-oriented advice on privacy compliance, supporting the Global Privacy Office and aligning with local legislation (e.g., PIPL, Privacy Act, PDPL, PDPD). The DPM leads privacy assessments, manages compliance tracking, and communicates risks and maturity to senior stakeholders. They are responsible for embedding global privacy standards locally, maintaining data inventories, supporting audits, and delivering tailored privacy training.
Working within a global team, the DPM collaborates closely with privacy champions and stakeholders across business units, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and C-suite executives. The role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to drive compliance initiatives, and excellent communication skills. The DPM plays a key role in fostering a privacy-first culture, building cross-functional relationships, and ensuring alignment between business operations and global privacy strategies.
Responsibilities
Lead and complete Privacy Impact Assessments for business process changes, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk mitigation.
Monitor, report, and support remediation of privacy risks and compliance issues across business units.
Provide expert privacy advice and guidance to APAC business units, backed by research and aligned with legal and policy requirements.
Design and deliver privacy training and communications tailored to business needs, especially in marketing and sales.
Develop and lead the regional Hub Privacy Programme, aligning with global strategy and ensuring local compliance.
Identify and address gaps in privacy programmes, especially during audits, acquisitions, or divestments.
Act as liaison between business units and the Global Privacy Office, fielding queries and escalating issues where needed.
Maintain a network of Privacy Champions to foster a culture of privacy awareness and accountability.
Oversee and support responses to privacy rights requests, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
Create and improve privacy-related processes and documentation, including those related to third-party systems.
Requirements
Excellent business level proficiency in Mandarin and English.
Certified in privacy (e.g., CIPP/A, CIPM); a degree in law or data governance is preferred.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with global privacy laws (e.g., PIPL, Privacy Act, PDPL, PDPD) in commercial settings.
Proficient in OneTrust, including DSAR, Inventory, Assessment, and Cookie modules.
Strong grasp of online platforms, big data, and related systems and processes.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong leadership skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
Skilled in managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
