About the Job:
Independent Reserve Singapore is seeking a seasoned middle office hire. This foundational role, for the Singapore office, would suit an experienced operator, with a background in institutional middle office / settlements. A broad understanding and interest in cryptocurrency would be greatly valued.
In this role, there is plenty of scope for growth, no day is ever the same but some of the key activities will include:
- Reconcile daily P&L across trading desks, investigate mismatches, and work closely with the Front Office to resolve any discrepancies
- Review and verify trade details to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
- Collaborate with the OTC team to streamline current operational workflows and support automation efforts to handle increasing trade volumes efficiently
- Calculate and consolidate monthly brokerage data for reporting purposes. Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and clearly presented
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing and maintaining detailed trade and risk documentation
Experience and Skills we are looking for:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in middle office, trade support, or P&L reporting; exposure to digital assets or structured products preferred
- Flexibility with working hours — as this role may require availability outside standard office hours to support trading activities or reconciliations
- A genuine interest in the crypto space, with a strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals (e.g. how transactions work, wallet infrastructure etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a fast-learning mindset
- Organised, dependable, and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous due to regular communication with regional stakeholders and the need to review documents in Mandarin
