What you do
This role involves leading, managing and monitoring Group-wide implementation of new financial reporting standards. It will encompass working with various functions – risk, operations and technology, business units and subsidiary companies and providing regular status updates on the progress and the financial impact simulations/presentation to senior management. Group-wide roll-out will also include co-ordinating and reviewing the updating of Group accounting policies and procedures and working with the financial reporting team on the disclosure requirements.
Who you are
- Finance professional with at least 5 years’ experience with relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably in MIS/Business Finance or related functions
- A good appreciation of data modelling would be an added advantage
- A good university degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, Computer Science or equivalent
- Demonstrated success in the areas of planning and forecasting, financial/management reporting, and analysis
- Project management/implementation experience
- Scripting, SQL and Tagetik knowledge is a plus
- Project management skills or active involvement in successful project implementations. Strong analytical skills with well-rounded experience in various core finance areas
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse stakeholder group
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable and able to think broadly, with proven success as an individual contributor
