Key responsibilities /attributes of role
You will be involved in the full spectrum of cross-border corporate M&A and transactional work for global corporations, UHNW business families and conglomerates, and household names in Singapore and internationally, with a focus on the life sciences & healthcare, consumer goods & retail and technology sectors.
You can expect to work as part of a team that frequently advises on cross-border transactions, either as lead counsel or instructed Singapore counsel. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of deals, from deal structuring and negotiation to post-acquisition integration and group restructuring.
You will be involved in the drafting and review of a broad range of corporate, transactional and commercial documents including Share Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Convertible Notes, commercial contracts and leases and other ancillary documents.
You must have an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, think on your feet, and take a commercial view in advising clients.
Key requirements include:
Up to 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a top-tier Singapore law firm or boutique law firm with similar level of exposure
Singapore qualified
Strong knowledge of law, and keen commercial judgement
Experience in managing and executing high volumes of work, with an interest in harnessing technology to develop and implement systems that streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
Excellent technical skills with a practical approach to problem-solving
Ability to handle pressure and work to challenging deadlines
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and collegiate law-firm environment, and to work both autonomously and as part of a team as and when required
