Job Descritption:

• The MEP Engineer is responsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering activities, processes, and construction of projects.
• Monitor and report on the progress of work to project manager;
• Control the progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
• Coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and work progress;
• Control site progress & installation quality as per approved Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Schedule for on-time completion.
• Carry out inspection of MEP works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works;
• Assist in supervising and coordinating MEP services work closely with other departments;
• Assist for submission of evaluation of progress claim, variation work to M&E Manager
• Participate in all relevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings, and other project relevant meetings;
• Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record.
• Responsible for M&E drawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawings quality.
• Responsible for conducting QA/QC inspection, managing RE, RTO and responsible for clearing QA/QC inspections to meet with construction schedule.
• Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date.
• Ensure quality of MEP workmanship and compliance with safety and environmental requirements

Job Requirement

• Degree in electrical engineering from universities

Job Description

• Develop and review technical documents such as design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams
• To involve in the planning and design of electrical engineering works for building services.
• To prepare tender document,design and technical for MEP specifications for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP works.
• To collaborate with peers of other disciplines in feasibility studies and design, as well as ensure excellent delivery of service to clients.
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality plan, contract requirements including the drawings and specifications
• Monitor and control works including those of subcontractors to ensure compliance with the specified requirements
• Ensure material submission and approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules

• Guide and support subordinates in carrying out the tasks as planned; Seek support from and report to superior if required
• Assess subcontractor performance against plan and resolve issues collaboratively; Escalate major deviations/delays from plan to superior in a timely manner

Purpose and Scope
The Engineer – M&E is responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical and electrical systems in built environment projects. Key Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for M&E services proposals for building and infrastructure projects encompassing feasibility studies, resolution of technical issues, conceptual design, writing of specifications, budgeting, programming, procurement, design review, safety and quality assurance.
Work with stakeholders, service providers, contractors and consultants, reviewing and delivering value engineering solutions with the objective of achieving quality, compliance and value for money.
Support tender and execution of projects.
Review sub-contractors’ proposals and design.
Collaborate with sub-contractors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, fire protection, etc.) to produce shop drawings.
Integrate shop drawings into BIM system for feasibility review.
Familiarity with oil tank construction and oil pipeline laying.
Coordinate site activities during construction.
Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, etc.
Ensure the smooth completion of the project.
Any other ad-hoc matters assigned by Management.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
Familiar with API 650 code will be an added advantage.
