Arup is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join its MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic Building Services) team, with a focus on aviation and complex infrastructure projects. This senior role combines design leadership and project delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams through all phases of the infrastructure lifecycle. The successful candidate will also mentor emerging talent and contribute to business development and strategic growth initiatives.
The Opportunity
- Apply multidisciplinary design skills to resolve complex technical challenges, coordinating effectively with structural, civil, and architectural teams
- Lead technical reviews and quality assurance processes for MEP components, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
- Apply deep knowledge of infrastructure delivery models including direct client engagements, alliances, and design-and-construct methods
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering design leadership and professional development

- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic engineering or a related building services discipline.

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of construction projects across Asia. You will lead the full project lifecycle - ensuring technical excellence, timely execution, and stakeholder alignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full lifecycle of MEP works from design to commissioning.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and specification-aligned MEP delivery.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering.
- Monitor installation progress and resolve on-site issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Administer contracts and ensure adherence to terms.
- Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders.
- Support feasibility studies, tenders, and design deliverables for new and expansion projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of MEP project management experience in mission-critical environments.
- Proven success in delivering complex MEP scopes in data centers or fabs.
- Experience with general contractors is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, and controls.
- Proficiency in project management and BIM tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to relocate for project assignments.
- Certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, RCDD) and tendering experience are a plus.

Our client is a market-leading M&E Contractor with over 50 years of industry experience. Operating across multiple divisions, they currently employ nearly 300 staff across office and site locations. Last year, they reported a turnover of £58 million.
Their Special Works Division focuses on commercial and educational projects, as well as plantroom replacements across London. Project values typically range from £,000 to .5 million.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an Assistant MEP Project Manager to support the Project Manager with the successful delivery of projects.
The Role: Assistant MEP Project Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
Location: Office-based in Kent, with occasional site visits
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the MEP Project Manager, you will assist in the management and coordination of M&E projects, including:
- Supporting with project planning and scheduling
- Assisting in the procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation
- Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
- Attending site meetings and assisting in resolving technical issues
- Coordinating with site teams, consultants, and clients
- Supporting with cost tracking and budget control
Salary & Benefits
£2 000 – £3 000 per annum (depending on experience)
