• Designing of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (RHVAC) system, site project survey, inspection and cost estimation, preparation of materials listing, drawings, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Closely work and liaise with the Commercial & Sales Department and the Operation Department on projects that require the involvement of both these departments.
• Preparation of quotations for RHVAC projects.
• Provide technical support to the field works that include but not limited to the air-conditioning, ventilation, heating, electrical and automation system, mechanical and general:-

A) Technical survey and inspection, survey report writing, materials listing, equipment selection, quantification and identification.

B) Technical support to field work coordination.

• Heat load calculation and air duct system design.
• Project coordination between worksite, office, clients and suppliers.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management as and when necessary.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in engineering discipline
• At least 2 years’ working experience in RHVAC systems preferrably in marine industry
• Has in-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycle theory, line components, circuit flushing, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing and vacuuming
• Good written and verbal communication and coaching skills

We are located at 11A Tech Park Crescent Singapore (Tuas South).

Responsibilities
Lead or assist as a Lead Engineer in new shipbuilding and ship repair/retrofit projects.
Coordinate and manage a team of engineers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering outputs.
Provide specialist technical advice and support to both internal stakeholders and external parties.
Liaise with ship owners and Classification Societies to obtain approval of engineering deliverables and resolve technical issues when required.
Review and approve detailed design drawings and documents (e.g., piping isometrics, layouts, ducting arrangements, equipment foundations, machinery room layouts, bills of materials, and mechanical outfitting drawings) to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and Classification Society requirements.
Prepare detailed design drawings using 3D modelling tools, including ducting designs and related documents to support prototype development.
Regularly update the 3D software database to maintain accuracy and consistency of engineering attributes.
Ensure all design drawings and documents meet departmental standards and provide input for continuous improvement.
Manage external consultants on engineering integration and deliverables.
Participate in tests and sea trials as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Mechanical, Marine, Offshore Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
5 - 8 years of engineering design experience in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems.
Solid working experience with HVAC turnkey contractors, HVAC equipment suppliers, or shipyard HVAC departments.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills
