The Director, Retail Media & Partnerships will lead high-impact partnerships across banks, telcos, FMCGs, and media agencies. You’ll build and manage a team of industry experts to drive consultative sales, establish key advertising partnerships, and ensure consistent growth across the region.
Main responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify, establish, grow, and manage strategic partnerships with key verticals such as banks, telcos, FMCGGs, and media agencies, creating long-term value and growth opportunities across APAC.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of high-performing, trusted industry experts, fostering a consultative sales approach that meets client needs while growing advertising revenue.
- Build Partnerships Strategy and Performance Management: Develop an annual strategy for MY/SG, set targets, oversee performance, and lead interventions to course correct as needed.
- Sales Tools and Training: Implement core sales tools like CRM systems to streamline client management and develop training programs to equip local retail media leads with best practices and revenue-driving skills.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quick Commerce Commercial & Supplier Management, as well as teams across restaurants and shops to align efforts and maximize partnership impact.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader in the industry with regular participation and hosting of external events, while internally mentoring and coaching team members, establishing best practices, and promoting a high-performance, client-centered approach for the markets.
Qualifications
- min 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5-6 years in advertising working with large brands and a strong track record in closing & managing large-scale partnerships, particularly in FMCG or financial services (banking, credit cards, fintech). Experience in e-commerce / retail media within Asia would be a strong plus.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor high-performing teams to achieve results.
- Strong strategic and analytical approach to sales and relationship-building, with the ability to communicate product value effectively to clients.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or tech/start-up environments preferred.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills for internal and external collaboration.
