What You'll Be Doing:

As a Mechanical Technician, you'll be at the heart of operations—handling equipment repairs, servicing, and troubleshooting. You'll support mobilisations and demos, maintain workshop tools, and collaborate with technical and customer service teams to deliver seamless project execution.

• Perform equipment servicing, repairs, troubleshooting, and evaluations
• Prepare repair quotations based on findings
• Assist with equipment mobilization and on-site product demonstrations
• Maintain and report on job status to the Head of Department
• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are in good condition
• Work closely with technical and customer support teams
• Be proactive and take initiative in your work

Job Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, install, load testing on crane and hoists system
• Assist in the setup and commissioning of overhead cranes, hoists, and related mechanical systems
• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime
• Work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure seamless operations
• Any ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum GCE O level with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Possess electrical knowledge would be an added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the R&D prototype build, manage build objective & build matrix.
• Manage prototype allocation & distribution.
• Provide onsite support at manufacturing site.
• Manage RTP (Release to Production) documents e.g. technical drawing, BOM (Bill of Material), build instruction documents.
• Manage post prototype build activities e.g. Build cost, build defect solution, Care & Feed document (Prototype handling document).
• Coordinate knowledge transfer from R&D to Operation/Manufacturing team.

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant studies
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in R&D or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Power Point, Words.
• Knowledge in material requirements planning (MRP) and related software, e.g. SAP would be advantage.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills & attention to detail.

• Perform major repair on engine and transmission
• Adhere to defined guidelines in regards to safety, orderliness
• Perform Store receiving, verification of goods receive/Issuing out and storing of goods.

• Manage store room inventory
• Provide technical support when necessary.
• Perform basic repair, inspection, reassembly, refitting, and adjusting products as required.

• Responsible for the completion of all planned or unplanned mechanical maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of equipment (e.g. pumps, tank, piping, valves) as assigned;
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors;
• Fault-finding and repair of plant, systems and equipment;
• Participates in Risk Assessments as part of Permit to Work preparation;
• Interprets technical drawings and prepares reports on work done;
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined;
• Perform minor piping fabrication, modification
• Maintain all machine shop tools and equipment such as, and not limited to, welding set, working tooling, lifting gear, as required;
• Support equipment inspection with vendor representative on tanks, column, pipelines and centrifuge;
• Rebuilding valves, pumps, gearboxes and drives;
• Perform predictive maintenance activities e.g. vibration monitoring, infra-red thermography & etc;
• Complete all required in house training in a timely manner;
