Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Polytechnic in Singapore
• Keen interest in precision assembly and working with optical/mechanical components
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and basic metrology tools
• Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and patience for fine manual work
• A proactive team player with good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Internship or project experience in optical or mechanical assembly

· Work within standard operating procedures

· Adopt proper installation & assembly techniques

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that components meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or issues.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any adjustments or repairs made.
• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, ensuring that the final product is fully functional and meets all performance requirements.
• Work closely with engineers, quality control, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly processes.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
