Part Time Maths Instructor/ Permanent Part Time Maths Instructor, Mathnasium

Mathnasium is a maths only-learning centre that offers both maths help and enrichment to children in grades K – 9 / Sec 3. Each student in our program receives a customized learning plan based on our proprietary teaching materials.

Our centres in Singapore has received a strong reception from students and parents alike. We are seeking part time instructors to play a key role in its teaching and management.

The position includes teaching responsibilities as well as helping to manage instruction and student learning plans. There will be comprehensive training provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach, encourage and motivate children from K to Sec 3 using Mathnasium's approach and materials
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Correct student work and provide positive, constructive feedback
• Communicate student needs to center leadership and to instructional staff in a team teaching environment

Required Qualifications:

·   Strong math skills and teaching experience (and an ability to handle children from K to grade 9 / Sec 3)

·   Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills

·   Ability to help manage a team of part time instructors

·   Ability to professionally interact with students and parents

·   Energetic and confident personality

Knowledge and experience of the Singapore primary and / or secondary school syllabus will be helpful. Most of our students are in primary school.

The learning center environment will be supportive and encouraging.  Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to success.

Hours

Working hours are Monday – Friday 2.30pm - 7.30pm and Saturday/Sunday 10am - 3pm. We expect part time instructors to be available for at least 3 of these days.

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate mathematics tutor to join our team. As a full-time math tutor, you will be responsible for teaching IGCSE, IB, and A-Level math students in both group and one-on-one settings.

• Teach IGCSE, MYP, and IB Mathematics (SL/HL) in both group and 1-on-1 settings with expertise.
• Design and deliver syllabus-aligned lessons , practice drills, and exam strategy workshops to enhance student performance.
• Conduct timed practices , revision intensives, and provide personalized feedback to optimize learning outcomes.
• Build and maintain a bank of digitized resources and worksheets for effective lesson planning.
• Track student progress and communicate insights to the academic team and parents via regular updates.
• Participate in curriculum planning and academic workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices.

"What Will My Responsibilities Be?"

• Curriculum Development. You'll play a key role in developing our new Secondary 3 & 4 E & A Math program, launching in 2026. In the first few months, you'll work closely with the founder and curriculum team to design lessons, materials, and strategies that drive real results. You won't be doing this alone. You'll be guided every step of the way, with room to grow into greater ownership as your confidence and experience build.

• Coaching Students.From now until 2026, you will be taking over the current Sec 3 E & A Math classes and working alongside our Founder on Secondary 4 classes to gain deep familiarity with our students, teaching approach, and special programs. Once the brand new Secondary 3 & 4 programs launch in 2026, you will take on the lead role as Coach for Sec 3 & 4 E & A Math classes.

• Student Reports, Consultations and Parents' Debriefs.There are other things expected of you as you begin to deal with students and parents. Student reports are written quarterly, student consultations occur occassionaly when students have questions and parents' debriefs happen after trial classes.
