Main Objective:

The main objective of the Master Data Analyst, APAC is to facilitate the creation and maintenance of high quality master data related to all Arthrex materials and customers for the Asia Pacific Region. By implementing and executing policies and procedures at the regional level to ensure master data meets global standards. This role plays an important part in protecting a key Arthrex asset: the master data that enables the company to share information, process transactions, plan and execute business operations globally.

Master Data Analyst serves as a liaison to the global Product Life Cycle Management, Procure to Purchase (PTP) and Order To Cash (OTC) process owners. Through these relationships, Master Data Analyst receives the tools, policies, procedure, training and on-going guidance necessary to ensure that the practices he/she is following at the Regional level are aligned with Global Master Data practices.

Master Data Analyst key stakeholders whom he/she will work on a regular basis

  • INC MDG (Master Data Governance): responsible for creating and maintaining material master data for finished goods and creating new SKUs
  • Subsidiary Data Requestors: various parties within a subsidiary-specific organization responsible for providing the source data of the material and customer master data needed in each country, ie: country inventory planners may provide material master data for locally purchased products (Retail), and product extension requests that would be facilitated through Master Data Analyst, APAC
  • Subsidiary Data Stewards: Local Regulatory, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Sourcing and Distribution professionals who provide and use specific master data

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Master Data Analyst main duties and responsibilities: Data Administration, Data Stewardship, Product Lifecyle Management Facilitation and Process Improvements.

Data Administration includes those tasks necessary to set up and maintain Material Master and Customer Master data in the SAP Systems. They are:

· Facilitate the creation of new material master data submitted by the subs data requestors

· Perform costing run for the material within the region / plant

· Maintain and/or enrich other related data eg: Purchase Information Records, Source Lists, etc

· Create and/or amend customer master data after performing quality checks

· Receive, analyze and implement requests for changes to material master and customer master data in cooperation with country data requestors and other country data stewards

· Respond to requests from data users to analyze and help resolve data problems that may be causing down stream transactional issues

· Maintain data cleanliness to ensure data integrity

· Maintain the service level agreement agreed with subs data requestors and other subs data stewards

Data Stewardship includes setting up and maintaining the regional procedures necessary for creating and maintaining high quality data. They are:

  • Maintain and support strong working relationship with Subsidiary data requestors and other country data stewards
  • Measure and report on regional data quality and adherence to the service level agreement
  • Review existing processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy, which adhering to the company processes
  • Coordinate with various key stakeholders, ie: quality, finance, to effectuate required attributes within material master for a smooth end to end transaction within SAP
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) facilitation involves collaborating with commercial and Product Managers/Marketing to ensure that product lifecycle strategies are implemented timely and accurately in the ERP system. They are:
  • Establishing appropriate master data settings to support the new product ramp-up or phase-out strategies
  • Assist to speed products to market by planning for and streamlining material master data setup for new product launches
  • Facilitate the collection of relevant data to compile specific PLM strategies
  • Assist with or lead special projects, but not limited to Process Improvements, including presentations materials and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences

· Minimum of 5 years Master Data experience or related experiences within Supply Chain

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to details
  • Knowledge of how the multiple SAP Master Data impact the business
  • Good written and oral English language communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a group environment.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Intermediate to expert level Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications with a particular emphasis on mass data manipulation tools such as Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros and Vlookup)
  • Power BI and SAP R3 / HANA knowledge a MUST

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

The Role:
The Sustainable Finance Data team is looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for sustainable finance, ESG data, quality, and technology to strengthen our data products by driving the implementation of robust data quality strategies and assurance practices. As a Senior Data Management Professional, you will help develop our business outcome-based data strategies to optimize the value of data for our customers and improve data operations. You will apply your problem-solving skills to design and refine quality control processes, ensure data integrity, and support automation of validation workflows to scale effectively. Additionally, you will measure and articulate the impact of your initiatives using business intelligence tools and data quality metrics. This role offers the opportunity to lead global quality initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior colleagues developing in data quality and stewardship.
You’ll need to have:
Excellent written and verbal language proficiency in English and Korean as you will cover Korean content
A BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field—or equivalent professionalqualifications
4+ years of experience in data quality management, quality assurance, or data governance within the finance or technology industry
Demonstrated experience developing data quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance processes as part of larger data architecture initiatives
Demonstrated knowledge of data management principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and workflow design
Proficiency in data analysis and profiling using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and BI platforms, with the ability to identify data quality issues and generate actionable insights
Foundational understanding of statistics and the ability to interpret data to inform business decisions and craft compelling narratives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple global projects in parallel and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
A strong ability to combine technical skills with business insight to improve data quality and operational outcomes
Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
We’d love to see:
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Sustainable Finance market and sustainability related topics, with preference for experience working with a range of disclosure frameworks and standards, including but not limited to TCFD, ISSB, GRI
Experience profiling datasets and coming up with necessary requirements
Good understanding of data modeling concepts
Experience manipulating and wrangling large datasets
Familiarity with use cases of advanced statistical methods such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Natural Language Processing

The Digital department at INSEAD supports the school's global operations by delivering cutting-edge technological solutions that enhance teaching, research, and administrative functions. It ensures seamless integration of digital tools and infrastructure across all campuses, fostering innovation and operational efficiency.
Your role within the team
Project delivery: Manages the entire project lifecycle from assessing the business problem, through definition, detailed planning, implementation and delivery while balancing the 3 dimensions of a project which are scope/quality, cost/resources and schedule/timeline.
Proposal & Planning: proposes one or several well-documented, if applicable, financially established solutions clearly outlining the pros and cons of each in use cases. Compiles status reports on the various projects.
Communication: facilitates seamless communication with key stakeholders along the progress of the project and ensures they can make well-informed decisions. Organizes and structures the project with clear milestones, meetings, workshops, collaboration tools and appropriate communication channels and processes. Security and data: ensures to always follow and enforces INSEAD security policies and practices through the project he/she manages. Each project should also be considering of the data usage.
Relationship management: cultivates strong, collaborative relationships between external and internal stakeholders, including Digital departments, across diverse cultures and INSEAD campuses; fostering trust, cooperation among all contributors and facilitates healthy conversations.
Stakeholder engagement: Acts as a reliable key contact, shares knowledge, gives regular updates, provides guidance and is able to recommend solutions across multiple projects and business areas.
Standards/Innovation: respects all relevant INSEAD standards (development, CI .) in his/her activities, under special application of all state-of-the-art technical and ergonomic design standards. Proposes new creative approaches based on INSEAD strategy and commitments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent.
Certificate: PMP or Scrum Master.
More than 5 years of Project Management experience.
Exposure working in a Data Engineering environment – data integration, ETL, data modeling.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Tools: Jira and Talend Open Studio for Data Integration.

Seeking a Data Governance & Platform Engineer to lead the enablement of Data Governance and Platform initiatives. This role will focus on the design, development, and deployment of Data Quality and Data Governance solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Framework Development:

  • Define, document, and implement a scalable data governance framework, including strategies, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Establish data standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.

Data Quality and Integrity:

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by defining and tracking KPIs, conducting regular data quality assessments, and implementing improvement plans.
  • Monitor data integrity, resolve inconsistencies, and implement data validation and cleansing procedures.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and integrate them with the Enterprise Governance tools.

Metadata Management:

  • Define and implement data catalog capabilities and establish scalable metadata management practices.
  • Catalog existing data sources, document data flow and transformation, and collaborate with data stewards to improve data lineage and metadata management.
  • Utilize Dataplex for automated data discovery, curation, and management at scale.

Business Glossary and Data Dictionary:

  • Define and maintain a business glossary to ensure consistent data terminology.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data dictionary.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business units, IT teams, and senior leadership to promote data governance practices.
  • Establish and oversee data stewardship programs, defining roles and responsibilities for data ownership.
  • Engage and support data owners, providing guidance and ensuring accountability.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on key data governance metrics and overall compliance.
  • Define and track KPIs, monitor adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, and report on progress to senior management.
  • Conduct data governance assessments and support internal and external audits.

Training and Support:

  • Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to employees on data governance principles, policies, and best practices.
  • Develop and lead training and awareness programs.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk:

  • Implement controls & ensure compliance with privacy/security regulations (e.g.,GDPR, CCPA,SOC ).
  • Collaborate with Legal and Governance teams on data classification, access control, and support & prepare for internal and external data audits.

Platform Administration:

  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining GCP resources such as virtual machines, storage, networks, and databases.
  • Implementing and managing security settings, access controls (IAM), and policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring system performance, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud-based applications and services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in Data Governance & Data Quality implementation with bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Dataplex services and Familiarity with modern data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan and Informatica CDGC)
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying data management solutions using Google Cloud Dataplex, integrating data lakes, data warehouses, BI applications and Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python.
  • Experience in data lineage, metadata management, and role-based access control (RBAC) within Dataplex.
  • Experience on Reltio MDM and Any Data governance certifications are added advantage
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud) and AWS services.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing data processing frameworks on GCP BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Cloud Dataflow and experience with the Google Dataform, Apache Airflow, Tableau, Power BI and Looker
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
