**The Role**
The Strategic Events Specialist, APAC is a key support role within the Global Strategic Events team, responsible for assisting with the execution of MongoDB's most strategic events through end-to-end coordination and content support. Reporting to the Manager, APAC Strategic Events, this role will collaborate closely with the global team - including Event Content and Sponsorship - to ensure the seamless delivery of event logistics, marketing initiatives, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role requires adaptability to work across time zones and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to ensure events run seamlessly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide hands-on support for the planning and execution of first-party events, including MongoDB.local programs, and third party events, like tradeshows and conferences
+ Assist with event logistics such as registration, signage, materials preparation, vendor communication, shipping, scheduling, etc
+ Help ensure cross-functional alignment by coordinating with field/strategic marketing, revenue marketing, DevRel, product marketing, and other teams
+ Work closely with the Strategic Event Operations team to support campaign execution, lead flow management, and sponsorship fulfillment
+ Maintain accurate event data, track key metrics, and assist in post-event reporting
+ Help manage event communications, including internal updates, promotional materials, and event messaging
+ Support manager with budget tracking, invoices, and contract management
+ Assist Sponsorship/Event Content team with presentation collection and tracking of session and speaker details, artifacts, and assets
+ Be adaptable and work across global time zones to support global strategic event team members, ensuring smooth execution regardless of location

The Role

The Strategic Events Specialist, APAC is a key support role within the Global Strategic Events team, responsible for assisting with the execution of MongoDB’s most strategic events through end-to-end coordination and content support. Reporting to the Manager, APAC Strategic Events, this role will collaborate closely with the global team — including Event Content and Sponsorship — to ensure the seamless delivery of event logistics, marketing initiatives, and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role requires adaptability to work across time zones and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to ensure events run seamlessly.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support for the planning and execution of first-party events, including MongoDB.local programs, and third party events, like tradeshows and conferences
  • Assist with event logistics such as registration, signage, materials preparation, vendor communication, shipping, scheduling, etc
  • Help ensure cross-functional alignment by coordinating with field/strategic marketing, revenue marketing, DevRel, product marketing, and other teams
  • Work closely with the Strategic Event Operations team to support campaign execution, lead flow management, and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate event data, track key metrics, and assist in post-event reporting
  • Help manage event communications, including internal updates, promotional materials, and event messaging
  • Support manager with budget tracking, invoices, and contract management
  • Assist Sponsorship/Event Content team with presentation collection and tracking of session and speaker details, artifacts, and assets
  • Be adaptable and work across global time zones to support global strategic event team members, ensuring smooth execution regardless of location

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in event coordination, event marketing, or a related support role
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, while effectively collaborating as part of a global team
  • Proficiency with core productivity tools, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–40%, across APAC and occasionally globally
  • Role based in Singapore
Bonus Points
  • Experience in the tech industry or working with B2B events
  • Familiarity with event platforms like Cvent, Splash, and Jifflenow
  • Exposure to marketing automation or CRM tools (Salesforce, Eloqua, etc.)
  • Exposure to event-related copywriting and promotional content needs
  • Fluency in a non-English language

ABOUT THE JOB

Capco is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join its growing team, supporting the APAC Marketing team in the execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives across Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Middle East.

The ideal candidate must be passionate, dedicated, engaging, energetic, digital savvy, have high integrity, and strong inter-personal skills. You should be willing to dive in and do everything from coordinating events, helping to create and distribute branded materials, draft social media copy, oversee the creation of blogs and articles and ordering giveaways for tradeshow events.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Assist in the planning, execution and measurement of digital marketing campaigns across omni-channels (LinkedIn, Programmatic, Google Ads, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Drive the development of content-rich thought leadership and associated marketing assets for all channels (socials, events, sponsorships, webinars etc)
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like HubSpot, working closely with digital vendors.
  • Collaborate with leaders and sales teams to align marketing efforts with strategic commercial goals
  • Have strong written and interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable editing copy for marketing collateral.
  • Create social media content to help position Capco as a leader in financial services consulting services
  • Support coordination of marketing campaigns and measure campaign success against pre-defined metrics and across multiple channels
  • Provide limited administrative support i.e. ordering giveaways, client gifts, arranging sessions with senior stakeholders, submitting invoices, managing content trackers etc.
  • Assist with management of creative requests from the business including project management with design, content writers, and third-party agencies
  • Learn new marketing technologies and software platforms to support brand building and marketing reach
  • Maintain and update APAC marketing pages on the intranet and create internal marketing newsletters.

What You’ll Bring with You

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
  • 3+ years marketing experience in agency, management consulting, financial services and/or B2B technology industry, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive and independent worker who also is a team player that can build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience working with online content.
  • Possess superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate well with people at all levels of the company.
  • Possess a high level of integrity, organisation and a results-driven orientation.
