Responsibilities:
- Handle matters related to ship stability, navigation, mooring, and cargo operations
- Plan and maintain a regular ship visitation schedule for assigned vessels, conducting a minimum of two visits per week or as frequently as necessary to ensure effective oversight.
- Participate in onboard safety meetings and drills, ensuring each assigned vessel is visited at least once every 12 months for this purpose.
- Coordinate and attend internal and external audits and inspections such as QMBS, ISM, ISPS, and SIRE.
- Track fleet navigational performance, incorporate Master feedback, recommend improvements, and escalate significant issues to the Shipping Manager.
- Oversee updates to navigational resources including charts, publications, and marine notices—verify their completion with the respective Masters.
- Support incident investigations onboard, gathering and analyzing data to complete detailed reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of regulatory publications for both the Company and fleet vessels, covering IMO, OCIMF, ICS, MCA, Flag State regulations, and nautical charts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or a related field
- Preferably at least 2 years of shore-based maritime management experience
- Holder of Class 2 Deck Officer (Chief Officer) license or equivalent
- Strong technical and navigational knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- In the event of adverse weather conditions or emergency situations, notify all the parties involved, liaise with Marine Controller, deploy safety tugs to assist vessel till pilot and assist tugs arrive.
- Assist in other administrative duties required by Marine Controller/Project Manager.
- Other adhoc duties as assigned.
