SCOPE OVERVIEW
- Responsible for underwriting new and existing Marine Cargo, Marine Hull and Freight Forwarders/Bailees Liability to achieve profitability
- Develop and grow marine portfolio by generating new business within guideline and delegated authority
- Responsible for managing relationship with intermediaries/partners to achieve the company goals
- Established clients/broker relationships
- Familiar with marine clauses, terms and conditions
- Demonstrates analytical skills, effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Provide training to clients/intermediaries on on-line policy issuance
- Ability to provide technical advice to clients/intermediaries/internal stakeholders
- Presentation/training to intermediaries and internal stakeholders
- Able to work independently
- A team player
- Adhere to Underwriting guidelines, Compliance and Risk Management
- Provide guidance and coaching to support staff
- Meticulous, have an eye on details
- Self-motivated, disciplined
- Minimum 5 years' experience handling Marine Cargo/Marine Hull/Freight Forwarders/Bailees Liability
- Knowledge of Marine insurance processes and policy wordings would be advantageous
- Proficient in MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint
- Possess at least the certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or any other equivalent qualifications ie AAII, ACII
