As part of the Department of Climate Research (DCR), the Climate Projections and Extremes Branch (CPEB) focuses on climate processes relevant to Singapore and the Southeast Asian region and developing next generation high resolution regional climate change projections for its stakeholders.

A core component of the work is the application of AI/ML methods for climate and climate change time scales, especially as part of the new AI-based production of high-resolution regional climate change projections.

We are therefore seeking an experienced scientist with a strong background in the application of AI/ML in climate science as well as an understanding of climate variability and change (especially for tropical regions such as Southeast Asia).

The job scope will include but not limited to the following:
