Responsibilities:
- To assist in the overall management and technical operations of the Marine Fleet that includes the preparation, review and management of all technical documentation, vessel certificates, maintenance records, compliance records etc.
- Providing the necessary administrative support and coordination for any vessel inspections, repairs and docking works.
- Assist in liaising with customers on technical and operational matters that inclusive of vessel performance, etc
- Attending to vessel docking, repairs and surveys when requires and carry out supervision on any contractors' repair / maintenance works on board the vessel.
- Monitoring the technical status of vessel in term of Class certificates and surveys and ensure that all statutory certificates, equipment certificates, etc, are properly maintained, documented and up to date.
- To identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessel's need. Coordinate with the suppliers for timely delivery to the vessels.
- Monitoring and controlling of the vessels consumables to prevent unnecessary wastage.
- To keep track of the vessels LSA, FFA, cargo hoses registry, lifting gears registry and PPE of all shipboard personnel.
- Appointed as safety committee member to carry out tool-box meetings for all the vessels and attend to vessel inspections.
- To work closely with the HES team to ensure smooth implementation and compliance of company's safety and quality standards
- To assist in investigating any defects / failures occurred and reporting all vessels incidents, near misses to prevent and eliminate any potential incidents
- To assist in maintaining crew records that inclusive of certificates, training, medical checks and coordinating in crew changes.
- To undertake any other technical related tasks and assignments as and when required.
