Job Title: Maintenance Section Manager

About the Role:

The role of a Facility Maintenance Section Manager is a critical one that requires strong leadership and technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Maintenance Section of our Technical Department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Maintenance Section of the Technical Department
• Plan and manage maintenance activities within the designated facility
• Responsible for maintaining and updating all technical drawings within the department
• Confirm the quality and safety aspect of facility-related maintenance work
• Review Risk Assessments and FMEA (where applicable) for maintenance activities
• Manage the budget for the Maintenance Section
• Participate in audits held internally and by third-party auditors
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• A Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field or a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field
• Experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management
• Having managerial role experience is an added advantage
• Experience in people management
• Having a LEW license is an added advantage
• Minimally must have basic understanding of electrical systems
• Knowledge of ISO Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and auditing the systems

Job Description

• Oversee outsourced Facilities Management Service Providers (FMSP) to ensure effective preventive maintenance, pest control, cleaning, horticulture, and security.
• Plan, organize, and supervise FMSP teams in scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance.
• Verify preventive works, ensure timely follow-up, and maintain systems in operational condition.
• Manage service incidents (e.g., air-con, power, blockages) and ensure prompt resolution.
• Investigate breakdowns to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Partner with EHS on permits, licenses, and regulatory engagement with Singapore agencies.
• Develop and maintain site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Diploma in Facility/Building/Property/Estate Management or any related field, with 3+ years’ facilities operations experience.

Main Duties And Responsibilities To Be Accomplished :

1. Organize the maintenance schedule for all equipment in all departments

2. Carry out all general maintenance work on all equipment, ie AHU, Chiller, motor, pump etc.

3. Carry out installation and modification of machines and equipment

4. Carry out general electrical works, repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance of machines and equipment.

5. Support plant operation to ensure power, water, aircon…operation normal

6. Liaise with vendor to do repair on equipment or process, cleanness in plant level.

7. Purchase component and spare part related to electrical and control item to minimize the cost

8. Support Major Plant equipments reset and re-start up activity if breaking down.

9. Daily / periodic check, record and feedback all plant facilities equipment for continuous operation which include fire safety system, ACMV system, electrical system, AV system and building with no disruption to production and support to plant production work request.

10. Continuous improvement work execution to facilities equipment.

Requirements

Above NTC grade 3 in Electrical or Mechanical

More than 3 years of working experience in maintenance environment

Able to read electrical drawing and Autocad experience

Able to work independently with minimum guidance.

Able to communicate effective

Willing to overtime when required

Working hours:

Permanent Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 11:10pm (8 hours shift: 5656 work week)

5 days for this week then next week work 6 days

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct walkaround around building premises to ensure there are no safety hazards
• Perform building and equipment maintenance troubleshooting and repair works.
• Liaise & co-ordinate with vendors for quotes & for repair & maintenance works for buildings.
• Ensure there are no trespassers into the buildings
• Assist for VIP Visits.
• Other ad hoc assignments as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE “O” level with 2 years related experience in Facilities Management / Cleaning industry
