- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to maintain a safe working environment during maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and efficiency, proposing upgrades or modifications to enhance system performance.
- Provide rapid response to mechanical breakdowns, prioritizing critical systems to restore operations and minimize production losses.
- Liaise with external vendors to perform PMs, source parts, schedule service visits, and negotiate contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services and materials.
- Raise and track purchase requisitions for maintenance-related materials and services, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement processes.
- Close preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance activities.
- Provide necessary support to system engineers and operation teams in implementing continuous improvement programs, FMEA, and other assigned activities.
- Be involved in planning, managing and updating approved programs & projects with support from system engineers.
- Work with internal, external customers, consultants and government agencies pertaining to mechanical system improvement programs/projects where necessary.
- Ensure proper documentation and training with support from system engineers and operation engineers upon completion of programs/projects.
- Any other specific tasks as assigned from time to time by section and/or department head.
