Job Summary Kitchen Equipment Technicians are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of commercial kitchen equipment. They perform tasks to maintain smooth operations in commercial kitchens, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various equipment and appliances.

The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work independently, take responsibility for assigned repairs, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hot and cold kitchen equipment and appliances, including walk-in chillers and freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, combi-ovens, dryers, dishwashers, sandwich line, water coolers, and others.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance following manufacturers' guidelines or assigned schedules.
• Document maintenance procedures, best practices, and update operation manuals as needed.
• Ensure safe working conditions by correcting hazards or reporting non-correctable issues to supervisors.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring proper usage and storage.
• Collaborate with other maintenance workers, company officials, and staff to effectively provide solutions to maintenance problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and service of various types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Strong ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and to follow operation and installation manuals.
