What You Will Do

• Understand and demonstrate compliance to Site Safety rules, led by example and reinforce safety mindset among the team.
• Understand Business Controls and compliance to company standards, led by example and reinforce control sensitivity among team.
• Provide engineering expertise support to the Singapore Manufacturing Complex (SCP and Refinery) for safe and reliable operations. The work includes but not be limited to engineering assessment, engineering design, plant troubleshooting and equipment failure root cause failure analysis, long term equipment improvement initiatives and provide engineering solutions to problems in specific field.
• Provide support for major shutdown maintenance or major equipment maintenance work. e.g. T/A or GTGs major inspection etc.
• Key contact for their area of expertise
• Provide technical training as required in the area of expertise
• Collaborate among Business Team (PMTE) and participate in respective network activities as required.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Sound engineering knowledge in the mechanical engineering or related field
• Able to understand machinery fundamentals and apply academic knowledge to resolve problems
• An effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skills

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
• Monitor line for defective materials and perform any other related work in accordance with line quality.
• Cooperate with the maintenance department to ensure the production line works smoothly and daily productivity.
• Set up the machines, operate the machines to meet or exceed daily output target and quality expectation
• Ensure that there are sufficient raw materials for daily production usage. If there is shortage, put up the request to Leads for raw materials needed.
• Check machine safety is functioning correctly and report whenever necessary.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Document production reports and machine performance.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and facilities as required.
• Support the other departments if needed.
• Able to work at night when required

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Supervisor, responsible to perform all production activities and operate the machines and equipment. Follow the company SOP and instructions from supervisor
• Responsible for handling daily technical tasks, test and checks on machines for any defects and maintenance. Conduct QC checks to maintain the product quality
• Perform housekeeping and basic troubleshooting of equipment, notify the supervisor for any mechanical or defect issues
• Maintain equipment and area cleaning on regular intervals, perform preventive maintenance task and comply with all workplace safety regulations
• Work on continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback for any improvements

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience is required for this position
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous work experience as a Machinery Operator, knowledge of terminology and MS Office
• Experience with welding
• Good team player
• Positive attitude
