About the role
The Logistics Specialist provides high-level administrative support for the Datacenter Physical Security program to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, timelines, and required specifications. The role is highly collaborative and is part of a global team offering support to multiple work groups during core business hours.
What you'll do
The Logistics Specialist requires a deep understanding of multiple internal systems and processes, enabling the Logistics Specialist to solve problems and provide training and guidance to other team members. This role serves as the primary owner and manager of the Physical Security Logistics mailbox, acting as a central point-of-contact for both client and external vendor systems supporting Datacenter security operations globally.
Responsibilities include owning and updating a variety of process documents, job aids, templates, and checklists, as well as conducting quarterly reviews of logistics-related documents with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring employees are properly added or removed from necessary systems and that distribution groups and organizational charts are updated accordingly. They also own, update, and audit multiple internal and external systems associated with these processes.
Utilizing client meeting technology, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for resolving assigned permission issues and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders globally. Additionally, they identify and lead projects to drive process improvement within the logistics team, recommend changes to workflows and operating practices, document weekly progress on goals and milestones, and maintain a customer service approach to problem solving. At the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Specialist performs other duties as needed to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.
