Responsibilities
1. Production Scheduling
• Schedule production of customer orders, distribution orders, safety stock and other forms of demand to the work centres based on due dates, product properties and machine capabilities.
• Release Manufacturing Order as per production schedule.
• Follow up on the rework process from non-conformance report (NCR).
• Monitor production progress and output and update production plan.
• Working closely with production to resolve backlog.
2. Inventory Planning and Control
• Inventory planning of finished imported products which are procured from affiliates for distribution in Asia Pacific.
• Manage inventory level of finished products, WIP and raw materials that support on-time delivery objective and targeted inventory turns.
• Actively review and action on excess, slow moving and dead stock to minimize obsolescence.
• Initiate the write-off process from management or NCR decision.
3. Raw Material Planning
• Review material requirements and reschedule delivery to meet need date and inventory objective.
• Call in local materials to support the production schedule.
4. Order Fulfillment
• Advise Customer Service on stock availability as well as to update the changes in stock availability in unforeseen circumstances.
5. Quality Management
• Work with QC to ensure products are approved by the due dates
• Work with QC, R&D, Purchasing, Production and other cross functional teams on NCR of raw materials, finish goods or semi-finished, and follow up on the decision or instruction stated in NCR.
• Participate in Material Review Board.
6. Operations Support
• Establish and write procedures or work instructions.
• Track key performance indicators.
• Support all quality and financial audits.
• Administrative support in preparing reports for Supply Chain needs, data entry and maintenance in ERP system.
• Participate in Operations continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Requires a Diploma or a general Degree with 1 - 3 years working experience in a batch manufacturing environment.
• Has knowledge of MRP II and Microsoft Excel is essential.
Working Conditions:
This position is required to work from Mon - Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm; and you may have to work outside the working hours assigned.
