This position is responsible for effective coordination of logistics activities and aligning opportunities with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with account management teams to lead or support the preparation and submission of logistics solutions for global customers.
- Analyse shipping specifications and liaise with countries mainly in the APAC region for accurate and timely responses.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including local offices and central procurement teams to ensure high quality and competitive logistics offers.
- Develop project plans for adequate pricing analysis, internal review and evaluation inline with the global logistics management process.
- Maintain records of logistics activities in internal reports and document management system.
- Lead/involve in meetings with cross-region stakeholders to provide advice or analysis from a logistics perspective to achieve corporate goals.
- Troubleshoot any logistics-related issues and make concerted corrective actions plans to ensure logistics management betterment.
Skill Requirements:
- Advanced MS-Excel skills are mandatory
- Fast thinker, problem solver and strong aptitude for numbers
- Good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural diversity
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in SCM/Logistics/Business Administration or other related fields preferred
- 2-3 years' experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry

Role Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible to expand the company's sea freight and logistics business. This includes developing new business opportunities, establishing sales strategies, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
- Meet and achieve targeted KPI and Budget
- Build relationships with new prospective and existing customer
- Find cold leads 90% of the time to bring in new sales (Hunter)
- Explore business opportunities with existing customers (10%) of the group
- Understand customer needs to provide quality service upon successful sales closing
- Participate in global and local tenders
- Build relationships with all carriers and liners to establish good reputations and rate
- Coordinate with all departments locally or internationally within the group to establish the group goal of door-to-door supply chain services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or a related field.
- 3 -7 years’ experience with a track record in sales and business development in the logistics & freight forwarding industry
- Strong knowledge in the logistics & sea freight industry
- Able to secure customers from these industries: food, E-commence, project cargo, automative, chemical, oil & gas and furniture
- Willing to attend events to network with people in the industry
- Willing to travel to visit customers as and when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
- Existing business pipelines and connections will be a plus
