Responsibilities:
- Conduct translation, proofreading, transcreation and LQA of in-game content to ensure a top quality experience;
- UI/UX Tweaker: Ensure a clean and appealing UI that minimizes the amount of re-tweaking needed for other languages, while analysing and adjusting of core systems, mechanics, tutorial to ensure the best UX possible for the title;
- Participates in setting up the overall linguistic style, game world, background stories, or other linguistic related directions and preparing style guide, game guide and other relevant information for use by transcreators;
- Advises project manager on time & process needed to ensure quality translation;
- Any other job responsibilities that the organization deems necessary.
Skills & Requirements:
- Applicants must be bilingual in both English-German to deal with our mobile game players in US / European market
- Gamers strongly preferred
- Game industry-related localization experience is a big plus
- Impeccable grammar, syntax and spelling
- Possess 1-2 years of experience as German to/fro English translator
- Ability to write creative translations
- Experienced in CAT tools
- Ability to understand what makes good UX and UI within a game
- Ability to 'read the Matrix', ie. look at a game and 'see' the potential localization issues in English and future language-pairs
- Ability to work under pressure or/and overtime when it's required by the project needs
- Find simple and innovative solutions for complex problems
