We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to fill this role.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for residents during admission and perform regular evaluations for in-house residents.
• Establish targeted treatment goals and implement occupational therapy intervention for in-house residents.
• Provide guidance to therapy assistants and program staff to deliver high-quality care in line with established standards.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices in therapy services.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies, procedures, and workflows to support occupational therapy services.
• Monitor and ensure therapy services align with established policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Support the execution of residents' discharge plans to facilitate a seamless transition to community living.
• Provide training to caregivers to prepare them for residents' return to the community.
• Track quality performance metrics for therapy services and develop strategies for ongoing improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of all services provided and submit weekly case reports to the responsible individual.

• A degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Proficiency in pediatric therapy, particularly in Autism and Neuromuscular Disorders, is desired.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience is necessary.
• Certification by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPC) is essential.

• Respond professionally to incoming queries on mental health
• Assess clients' needs and make appropriate arrangements and recommendations (e.g. fixing of appointment for emotional support)
• Provide clients with information on relevant intervention and support, and liaise with other agencies, as required
• Play an advocacy role for misconceptions in mental health (e.g. planning events)
• Identify and escalate emergency and crisis situations to supervisor and assist in the coordination and conduct of crisis resolution
• Prepare, update and document all records and reports accurately, coherently, promptly and thoroughly according to organizational procedures to ensure compliance, and ease of review and retrieval
• Complete assigned tasks and necessary reports on time
• Other administrative support or adhoc duties as required by the organization
