Robin AI
About Robin
Robin is on a mission to rebuild the legal industry — starting with making contracts simple for everyone. We are a pioneer in Legal AI, built on proprietary models, licensed data, and deep partnerships with Anthropic and AWS. Since 2019, we’ve expanded our footprint to 4 continents and have been supporting many of the world’s most successful businesses, including GE, Pfizer, KPMG, and UBS.
About This Role
This role is within the Legal Team at Robin, and will involve working directly with investment teams at some of the world’s largest private equity and debt funds, financial institutions and corporates as they explore transaction opportunities. In addition, Robin offers fantastic opportunities for personal career development in a variety of areas alongside traditional legal work, including client onboarding and management, product development and ongoing customer success. This role will suit an experienced legal professional (whether a qualified solicitor or paralegal) who might be considering a position within a legal team at an investment bank, fund or asset management company. At Robin we are proud to call a large number of these institutions our clients, and our core transactional work covers many of the same areas and document types – but we work in a much more modern, creative and flexible way!
What You'll Do
Reviewing and negotiating contracts such as confidentiality agreements, engagement letters and release letters, using a combination of Robin’s AI technology and your own legal experience.
Helping establish and agree contract playbooks with current and new clients.
Reviewing the work of junior team members and assisting with their professional development and ongoing training (all of which will also be available to you).
Testing Robin’s technology products and feeding back issues, bugs and areas for improvement to our engineering and machine learning teams.
As Robin continues to experience success, you will also have the chance to get involved in exciting business-related projects, including improving the operating model for our managed services team.
Qualifications
You will have at least 1 year’s experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating the core transactional documents regularly encountered by our clients (including confidentiality agreements, engagement letters and release letters). You will have previously worked with private equity, asset management or hedge fund clients, whether in-house, at a service provider or at a law firm, and will understand typical fund transaction structures and timelines. You will enjoy taking the initiative and seeking answers to interesting practical and legal issues. You will be both technical and commercial, both in the practice of law and outside of it. You will be interested in developing your client management skills at a faster pace than might be possible elsewhere, and ideally you’ll be looking forward to taking ownership of some of our client relationships in due course. Last (but certainly not least), you will be motivated by working in a fast-paced, diverse and intellectually challenging environment where collaboration between lawyers and non-lawyers is essential to achieving results.
What’s In It For You
Salary: Up to $75,000, depending on experience.
Hybrid schedule: We offer a flexible working schedule.
Equity package: Generous equity scheme - everyone gets to be an owner of Robin AI!
