About The RoleWe are hiring an experienced transactional attorney to join our Applied Legal Research team. In this role, you will apply your corporate law background to develop generative AI applications for leading firms. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to enhance our data extraction platform for complex legal work.
This role is ideal if you are eager to shape the future of AI in legal services through your problem-solving skills, legal expertise, and proactive approach.
What You'll Do- Develop expertise to support AI research in transactional law
- Prompt engineer and fine-tune large language models for legal applications
- Create benchmarks to evaluate model performance
- Address AI challenges in document analysis and legal reasoning
- Enhance data extraction capabilities
- LL.B., J.D., or equivalent qualification
- Singapore qualified lawyer (or recognized common law jurisdiction) with at least 3 years PQE
- Legal experience at reputable law firms, with experience in debt finance, funds, or M&A transactions a plus
- Strong technical aptitude and quick learner of new systems
- Interest in prompt engineering and LLMs for legal work
- Adaptability to new legal areas and a generalist mindset
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Availability for collaboration with US East or West Coast teams from Monday to Thursday
- Work at the forefront of AI for knowledge work with top law firms

Job Responsibilities:
Legal Support
- Conduct and coordinate legal research, draft legal memoranda, and assess legal risks, including monitoring and analyzing updates in local laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of legal documents such as commercial agreements, Letters of Intent (LOIs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), legal opinions, and corporate resolutions.
- Perform additional legal tasks as assigned or required.
Secretarial and Administrative Support
- Provide corporate secretarial support, including drafting minutes of shareholder and board meetings, and preparing resolutions related to specific transactions.
- Organize and maintain an internal digital repository of contracts, ensuring accurate recordkeeping of all relevant documentation and communications.
Compliance Program Support
- Assist with various compliance initiatives, including training sessions and ad hoc compliance projects.
- Support the resolution of compliance-related issues, such as audit findings and whistleblowing reports.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance documentation, including policies and procedures, are current and aligned with applicable legal requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with teams across the company and within subsidiaries in the ASAO region to understand and support business and operational needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
- Attorney qualification in any jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years of legal experience, either in a law firm or an in-house legal or business environment
- Strong understanding of business-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient in legal and contractual analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

We are looking to add a Paralegal / Legal Case Officer to join our Criminal Defence / Family Law team.
Responsibilities :
- Support our team of purpose-driven lawyers in delivering quality Criminal Defence & Family Law advice and solutions to all
- Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
- Take the initiative and lead in managing, organising and coordinating all client updates and communications
- Provide regular and timely updates to clients via voice and video calls, instant messaging and email
- Attend to client queries, concerns and feedback in a prompt and professional manner
- Respond to messages and facilitate communication with clients and third parties via letters and emails
- Compile and coordinate substantive and detailed replies for lawyers to clients and third parties
- Conduct legal research , due diligence, fact-finding and getting-up work
- Draft and assemble legal documents including opinions, pleadings and Court papers
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to lawyers
- Take notes during calls, discussions, meetings and Court hearings
- Schedule and track deadlines , appointments and Court dates
- Update and prepare files and materials for Court attendances and meetings
Requirements :
- Enjoy interacting and communicating with clients
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Good time-management, able to prioritise work and multi-task
- Resourceful , problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, meticulous with following-up; organised, systematic in filing and documentation
- Can carry out work independently and have experience drafting legal documents
- Have a good grasp of client-handling and case-management
- Customer service oriented when attending to clients
- Proactive, hard-working, disciplined, service-oriented and strong work ethic
- Want to work in a close-knit team where their voices, ideas and contributions are valued
- Desire to actively contribute towards bringing about greater access to justice and fairness for all in the legal community
- MS Office, Word & Excel proficient
- Prior work experience or training in a related role / function
