Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Engineers to improve machine/process yield and quality: analyze machine/process issues and customer complaints, implement corrective and preventive actions, and provide timely engineering support in failure analysis and CAPA resolution.
Support achievement of department goals: participate and lead in PMT, SGA, and VIP initiatives, drive and lead in OEE and productivity improvements, provide technical expertise for employee teams and implement employee suggestions (Kaizen), and enhance machine performance through process modifications.
Technical support to production: provide timely support to resolve machine issues and breakdowns, manage and implement effective PM programs, and oversee spare parts management.
New machine/product start-up: assist in executing IQ, OQ, & PQ validation, compile and prepare training materials, conduct training for technicians and operators, and evaluate alternative methods or technologies.
Engagement with engineers, supervisors, and suppliers: exchange technical information, contribute to issue resolution, evaluate purchase parts, and request quotations.
Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and requirements.
Qualifications and Education:
NITEC (NTC/ITC)/Diploma or equivalent.
Skill Set and Experience:
NITEC (NTC/ITC) with at least 8 years or Diploma with 2 years of experience.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) on key processes and equipment/machineries.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of basic design of jigs and fixtures.
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical drawings and control systems (PLC).

The Mechanical Lead Technician performs mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
In order to complete Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities in accordance with the project completion plan and schedule, he should:
- Understand his roles and responsibilities and to be compliant with.
- Understand the project completion execution plan from Discipline Superintendent.
- Understand Notification of Energization (NOE) Flow Chart.
- Understand System Drawings and Walk Down procedure;
- Complete a Daily Report to ensure clear visibility to the Discipline Lead Technician.
- Attend the Daily Discipline Tool Box Talk to understand the daily activities;
- Preparation of PTW, JSA (Job Safety Analysis) / TRA (Task Risk Assessment) as applicable in GEMS
- Perform the Mechanical Completion Activities ('A' Scope ITRs) in close cooperation with the construction team in compliance with the project drawings and specifications.
- Perform the Pre-commissioning Activities ('B' Scope ITRs) in compliance with the vendor
documentations and specifications. - Prepare and perform the Operation Test Procedure (OTP with 'C' Scope ITRs) under the supervision of the discipline superintendent.

quality. - Assist field service vendor to conduct the system commissioning
- Comply with the HSSE requirements of the site. Ensure the safety and security of project personnel.
- Assess job related hazards during the development of safe working procedures and pursue
opportunities to eliminate exposure. - Attend the specified HSSE training and ensure direct reports are trained.
- Know how HSSE risks are managed and ensure that the HSSE controls for the activities/tasks are communicated. Supervise the safe execution of work and the implementation of controls.
- Communicate and practice in emergency response.
- Engage with team members and contractor staff on HSSE in meetings, pre-job briefings, during toolbox talks and attend key HSSE events. Communicate a consistent safety message, resolve unsafe situations, engage and intervene on unsafe behaviour and reward good safety behaviour.
- Liaise with HSSE department for support.
Requirement:
- Technical College diploma in Mechanical discipline or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years' construction or commissioning experiences in Oil & Gas Industry;
especially for Offshore products and systems. - Preferably gained within FPSO experience will be a strong selection criteria.

- Valid Sea Survival OPITO certificate BOSIET/HUET represents an advantage
