We are expanding our editorial leadership team and are looking for self-driven and experienced senior journalists and editors to lead change and shape our editorial style and direction.

In this position, you will work closely with the management team and be supported by other departments within the Company to give a unique edge to our reporting.
Your Mission
As a News Editor, you will set the editorial tone and direction of AsiaOne's news offerings. You will manage and guide budding journalists and be responsible for AsiaOne's daily content lineup, including news, feature stories, personal reflections and commentaries . Your responsibilities include:
- Leadership: Guide a team of journalists and foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. This is aAs a News Editor, you will set the editorial tone and direction of AsiaOne's news offerings. You will manage and guide budding journalists and be responsible for AsiaOne's daily content lineup, including news, feature stories, personal reflections and commentaries . Your responsibilities include:
- Content Strategy & Innovation: Lead editorial discussions with other departments in the Company to execute a bold content strategy for local and regional audience.
- Content Curation & Packaging: Monitor the news cycle and copy taste various sources and partners to create compelling and accessible narratives.
- Multi-Platform Multi-Media Storytelling: Drive the creation of diverse content formats, including news reports, feature articles, photo essays and news videos.
What You Bring
- At least 5 to 8 years of newsroom experience, with a preference for candidates with proven editing experience and ability to understand data analytics.
- A good bachelor's degree, candidates with journalism, communications and social science background preferred.
- Strong news sense and a natural flair to persuade with words and visuals.
- Resourcefulness, creativity and a sense of mission
- Social-media savvy and plugged into the latest local and regional news cycle
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Bonus
- Experience in a digital media setup, social media management and video journalism
- Ability to read and/or speak a second or third language

Job Description
Job Scope – Key Responsibilities
Video Production Support
- Assist in filming and post-production of live shoots, interviews, brand content, and corporate videos.
- Set up and dismantle production gear (lights, cameras, audio, backdrops).
- Organize and manage footage, images, audio files, and effects for editing.
Creative Development & Research
- Support research, scriptwriting, and ideation of video and campaign concepts.
- Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions.
Content Writing & Digital Publishing
- Assist in basic content copywriting for video scripts, captions, or decks.
- Help schedule and manage social media content calendars.
- Assist with video publishing and asset management across platforms.
Post-Production & Design
- Support editing teams with cuts, subtitles, transitions, and basic motion graphics.
- Bonus if you have skills in animation or visual design.
Campaign Coordination & Admin
- Help manage timelines, logistics, and supplier coordination for shoots or campaigns.
- Provide administrative and operations support to ensure smooth production flow.

You Have:
- A Diploma in Film, Media, Mass Communications or a related field.
- Familiarity with camera handling, lighting setups, and on-set etiquette.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.) and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Bonus: animation, illustration, or motion graphic skills.
